Very disappointing service experience My initial visit I needed an oil change and an inspection done. Just before I had stopped in my check engine light had come on stating fuel sensor fai My initial visit I needed an oil change and an inspection done. Just before I had stopped in my check engine light had come on stating fuel sensor fail. Once I spoke with the initial service writer I had asked her for an estimate and if it was covered under my warranty. She stated it would roughly cost 1,000 so I had asked her if something like that would be covered. She told me call my warranty company to find out. I was also told to make an appointment. Once I went to the front desk to make an appointment I was told the next available appointment was 2 months. To me that seems a bit ridiculous but I took the date and patiently waited. Two months later while on vacation from work I come in with all my paperwork expecting to finally get it resolved where I was met by another service writer. Once I began talking with her I asked if possible I could get a loaner. She told me there was none available. I then asked how long does this job roughly take because I go back to work in 2 days and it’s supposed to be bad weather. I told her I am a police officer in the city and unfortunately in inclimste weather I still have to get to work regardless. She then asked me how long I thought the job would take. I personally thought that was rude as if I was asking something to be rushed. I was only asking because if it was going to be done by Saturday I wouldn’t have needed a loaner car. She then said I am going to be honest with you. It’s thursday at noon now tomorrow is Friday and we are backed up and then it’s the weekend so your truck will probably just sit here until next week so do you want to drop it off Monday? I was beyond aggravated. Not only was I here on my vacation but I waited 2 months for absolutely nothing. The fact that I waited 2 months for that explanation was utterly ridiculous. I then accommodate you guys again and come back that Monday morning now at 7 am to drop it off and wait in the lobby for almost 2 hours for a loaner car to come out. After numerous times asking the girls at the front desk what was going on they tell me they are sorry they are looking for the keys and it’s buried in the back of the lot. Fast forward a few days and I get a call from the service writer that the fuel pump module and purge valve both need to be replaced. I asked her it was covered through my warranty and she said no. I called my warranty company and initially they gave me the run around. I called back your service writer and asked the damage. After paying close to 1500$ I got my truck and went home and called the warranty company. I was shocked when they told me that the dealership had never contacted them regarding the job not once. So basically she didn’t even attempt to talk to them regarding the repairs. I was under the impression when she told me they didn’t cover it that she had at the very least contacted them to discuss what needed to be repaired. Another thing, when I called the service writer after speaking with the warranty company I said since this isn’t covered you guys didn’t do the work yet right? I said so maybe I’ll take it elsewhere and she told me well we are still going To charge me labor. In the end my experience at this dealership was dreadful. I never felt so taken advantage of. I usually take my truck there because it’s close and if I need oil changes or repairs I’d rather it be done by the place I got the truck. But I’m not putting myself through that anymore. It was a horrible experience and pure frustration. A lot of people act like they are listening or trying to help but clearly it’s not the case. I definitely will not be referring this place to anyone I know unless it were to change. More
