Motor Trend Certified=Worthless I purchased the vehicle January 22, 2018. I am from out of state and reviews of the dealership made me feel more comfortable purchasing. I also liked the idea of that the vehicle I was purchasing was motor trend certified. It provided me peace of mind. The price on the vehicle was good. I tried to negotiate a bit more and didn't get far. The dealership itself is very nice, top notch, beautiful. My Salesperson was friendly and professional. Finance person was friendly and professional. However, he seemed unsure how to handle things since I was from out of state. He collected property taxes. I have since received a check from the dealership because they can not collect property taxes, something I think she should have known. Driving the vehicle home to SC after the purchase I noticed that it needed to be aligned. Perhaps something I would have known if I had done a longer test drive. I had the vehicle aligned on February 2.. During the appointment, the service tech brought me to see the underneath of the car while it was up. The rear axel was throwing oil...lots of oil, and had been for awhile because it as very plain to see, The service technician stated it needed to be looked at by the dealership immediately, A few days later I had the vehicle at the dealership for service (in my hometown) and was told the rear axel had to be replaced. I had the vehicle less than 2 weeks. The vehicle was motor trend certified. I would have thought in the inspection process, that problem would have been discovered. It should have been. I did contact my salesperson to inform him. He stated it is never the intention of Select SI to sell a vehicle with any type of problem. I am sure it was not intentional, but I wanted the dealership to know that their inspection process was lacking. I was told the General Manager would be notified of my concerns. My conclusion is motor trend certified means nothing. I had hoped for a follow up from someone at the dealership. That has not happened. My experience was not what I had hoped for. More

2014 Ford Explorer Limited I was little uneasy of visiting b/c of the distance from me, but also b/c I was unfamiliar with dealership. As someone who normally buys from Ford dea I was little uneasy of visiting b/c of the distance from me, but also b/c I was unfamiliar with dealership. As someone who normally buys from Ford dealerships or Carmax, I'm really glad I drove over and gave them a chance. They had just the vehicle I was looking for, which I found online, and Tyson Pettiford worked with me with to get a very fair trade value and make the paperwork fast and easy. They also offered to run a quick check to see if they could get me a better rate than my bank for financing......which they did!! The entire lot and facility is clean. Lots of great car options and the staff was top notch, honest and not pushy at all. VERY easy to work with! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a used car. Joe More
