After callin Story time - I saw a great deal on a 2017 Ford Fusion located up in Akron, OH (I live in Atlanta, GA) at Serpentini Chevy on Autotrader. After calling the dealership several times to explain why we would do business with them ("reputable", honest dealer), exchanging pictures of "all" the visible damage, and addressing the clean CarFax and their "110 point safety inspection", we agreed on a price and decided to put a down payment on the vehicle to hold it. They were very responsive throughout the purchasing process and all their sales staff were accommodating, even offered to pick me up from the airport because I was going to drive it home and they did a pretty decent paint touch up of a small cosmetic issue near the driver side rear exhaust So here's where we run into trouble: on the drive from the airport to the dealership, I noticed the right blinker was blinking quickly, usually indicating a weak/dead headlamp, so I asked the tech driving me to do another check that all the headlamps were working before I left while I filled out the paperwork. I do a quick visual inspection of the vehicle to confirm it looks as pictured, which it was. The tech comes back as I finish up financing paperwork and tells me everything is good to go and I start my 10.5 hour drive home. On the way home I notice a few small things that need to be fixed (driver rear door had no door jam, a rear AC vent had a handle broken, and I wanted to check on that blinker). So I take it to my local Ford dealer that I've used for years now and they fix all the issues, EXCEPT for the blinker. Why you ask? Because the car has been in a collision and it was unreported and the repairs/services weren't either. Either Serpentini's 110 point inspection doesn't involve opening the hood and checking for issues (NEGLIGENCE) or they saw they issues and didn't disclose them to me (FRAUD). At this point, I don't want the car any more. The ONLY reason I would drive across the country for a car is that I was ENSURED the vehicle was clean. Turns out, upon opening the hood, the tech was able to identify several bolts that had been broken, broken pieces of plastic, my right headlight was completely out (both high and low beam), and fisheye all over the hood - thus voiding the factory warranty. Both the GM of Sales and the GM of Serpentini refused to buy back the car, but offered to pay for the repairs. Take note here - having "service work" done on my vehicle shows up on CarFax because it was done by a certified Ford Tech and they report everything, thus reducing the resale value PLUS I don't know the severity of the issues and whether or not they'll cause issues down the road (the reason I wanted a clean vehicle). They paid me for the cost of Ford's diagnosis and for the Ford repairs, but refused to pay for the repainting of the hood because "it's cosmetic". That kind of pissed me off because it was clearly a byproduct of the impact that caused the issue with the electrical wiring with the headlamp causing the short. Moral of the story - BE AWARE OF JUST TAKING THEIR WORD ON THE VEHICLE! HAVE IT CHECKED BY A TRUSTED MECHANIC! A clean CarFax means nothing if the shops aren't transparent about it's past. They'll work with you to rectify a problem, but it will be completely on their terms. 2/5 stars for selling me a vehicle that was in a collision, not buying it back, and refusing to pay for all repairs related to the collision that wasn't supposed to have been there. I thought it must be a miracle because I am going through a divorce and need to have the car taken out of my ex-husbands name. I was working with a gentleman over a couple of days and once he must have realized that he couldn't make it work. I never received a call letting me know. I called and texted my salesperson and still didn't get anything back. I sent an email with a read receipt conformation. It was sent at 9:59. The email was read at 10:01. I know sales is hard and if you're not going to make money on a customer you need to still treat them with respect like you would with an A+ buyer. More

I went in knowing w I recently visited Serpentini Chevrolet of Tallmadge to purchase a new vehicle, one that would be my own since graduating college. I went in knowing what I wanted and how much I could afford for a payment. From the moment I stepped into the dealership everyone was kind, helpful and understanding of what I was in search of. I looked at the vehicle I had intended to purchase, crunched the numbers and was ready to make it happen. The next day we went back after talking with our insurance company, ready to sign the paper work, and they had a few more options for me to look at (better in price, better for the range of miles I drive per year, etc.). As I looked at the options I was still set on what I originally had come in for, but with the help of my salesman, Jim, and the manager of the store they steered me in the right direction to make the best decision for ME. I left the store with what, I now feel, is the perfect car for me and an overall outstanding experience and smile on my face. It was their job to "sell me a car" but they did much more than that, especially my representative, Jim. Not only did they sell me a great vehicle, but they sold the experience as well! And for that I will forever be grateful that I had such a great, lengthy (due to my own stubbornness) and positive experience with Serpentini Chevrolet of Tallmadge and all their wonderful employees! Worst dealership ever! This coming from someone who has bought about 15 cars in 18 years... If I could give it lower than 1 star I would. I received a letter in the mail abo This coming from someone who has bought about 15 cars in 18 years... If I could give it lower than 1 star I would. I received a letter in the mail about trading my 2014 truck after a service appt for a new one. I was pretty sure it was a gimmick. Sent the letter to my husband who is deployed with the US Army to research if he was interested at all. He spoke directly with them calling them from a combat zone for them to tell him yes it would be the exact truck he is in now just a newer version and of course probably different color. So I drove to dealership having been speaking with a lady named Lisa who is also the person my husband called and spoke with directly. I said I would be there at a certain time and if she would be available. She told me yes I get there at agreed time, they set me up with a random person. Then tell me the truck that they were quoting my husband was a smaller version and not the same vehicle. Then Nick came over and started to raise his voice at me about the deal saying how would we know what your old truck even is and that the quotes only good for smaller cab truck. Well, you sent me a letter saying your 2014 Chevy Silverado..... my truck has been there for service so assumed you pulled from your records.... we didn't but this truck from them. My husband was very explicit with Lisa saying my exact truck right? VERY dissatisfied. We buy new cars every 2yrs, new to this area, will NOT get one from them!! Good old bait and switch but to do that with a person who cannot even be here bc he's deployed is inexcusable! More
Their word is NO GOOD!!! We test drove a truck and decided the next day to buy it. In calling the salesman, we made a deal over the phone. He had a sales contract written up We test drove a truck and decided the next day to buy it. In calling the salesman, we made a deal over the phone. He had a sales contract written up and sent it to where we had our financing (not at Serpentini). While we were driving to the dealership (financing in hand), he called to say that someone was test driving the truck we were buying, but if we got there in the next 10-15 minutes, we would be ok. We arrived in less than 15 minutes and signed the already prepared contract. We sat and waited (about 20 minutes) and then the floor manager came over to say the truck was sold to someone else! We had a signed deal and the truck was sold to someone else while we sat there with financing in hand! We will NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone and will tell everyone we know what happened!! We have filed a complaint with the BBB!!! BAD BUSINESS!!! More

He was very helpful, kind and did his best to work with the budget I had. He was the reason I stayed at this dealership to purchase a car when I had no intentions of going home with a car that evening. I'd recommend anyone to work with Ron if they are ever at Serpentini of Tallmadge. More
