Im gonna sum this review up in a few words for people who dont want to read the whole story. If you want to read the whole story feel free, but here is the short version: "This dealership is full of theiv dont want to read the whole story. If you want to read the whole story feel free, but here is the short version: "This dealership is full of theives and liars, DO NOT buy a car from this place unless you want to be decieved and lied too." Here is how my trip with this dealership went: I told the salesman exactly how much cash we had as well as what we had to trade in, and not a penny more. Even after telling them this, they still wasted half a night and three hours the next day trying to talk me out of more cash or into financing the other portion. Which was made clear I didn't want to do. I had a salesman, that promised me a knocking in the front end would be checked on and fixed before the car was paid for. That it would be no problem. When i finally got done with the hours of negotiating and telling them the cash and vehicle was all I had. I told the dealer I wanted the check written down and signed so I wouldn't get screwed over. Well the dealer came in and told me the salesmen weren't allowed to promise anything and that the check was not going to happen. I could take the car for the price we just came to, or not take the car. When asked why the salesman would tell me something he knew he couldn't keep, the dealer told me salesman was new. Like that was some kind of excuse. You don't put someone out talking to your customers if they are not 100% ready. And if they do make a mistake, you stand behind the mistake they made. Not weasle your way out. After all this I told the dealer that I didnt want the deal and didn't appreciate the way the place was operating. Well after some thought, my wife and I really liked the car, so I called back and told the dealer I would take a chance and have my mechanic look at it, if he would come off the price $200 dollars, which he agreed. So me and the wife went back, which we noticed the cars air wasn't cold. It just needed to be charged. Well after asking the dealer to take care of it, at his shop, which would cost him minimul he denied, but the salesman agreed to pay for it. I also asked the dealer to replace the front two tires in the deal, he denied. So I got him to agree to tires at cost. And I had to bring the car back for a detail, since the detail shop was closed when we finally filled all the paperwork out. While doing the paperwork the salesman came in and asked if the detail later would be ok, to which i agreed and asked if the tank would be filled up, he quickly replied yes. After all the paperwork, we were handed the keys to which i walked out to the car we purchased and it only had half a tank. I cut the car off and walked in and asked the salesman what happened to the full tank. He then told me that used cars do not get a full tank. Even after i just handed them 12000 dollars. They couldn't fill the tank up? so I said ok, and walked out. After sitting for a few seconds i thought no, he said yes to the full tank. Im gonna go back in and get my full tank. Well i walked in and walked into the managers office and told him i was promised a full tank, and he asked by who. So i pointed to the salesman. He started stammering and stuttering, and the manager raised his voice and informed me used cars dont get a full tank, and I told him i was promised one so I wanted it full. He then got very visibly angry and yelled "Just go fill it up, JUST FILL IT UP!". So i walked out and waited for the lady at the front to do the paperwork for the salesman to take and get the car filled up, while waiting the used car manager(dealer) walked out and yelled again, just fill it up. Very rude and unprofessional to yell and be visibly angry in front of customers and a paying customer. They brought the car back with a full tank and off we went. I ended up having to take a personal day from work to take the car to the dealership to get my tires at cost(Which I declined, because i got tires cheaper from another tire outlet), my detail, and the freon charged. I pulled up to the dealership, and walked into the sales area, where i was asked why i was there. When i informed him why, he told me i didnt have a appointment, so there was nothing he could do for me today. That i needed to talk with my salesman and the manager to figure out what had went wrong. Well neither of them spoke to me in person, and i ended up having to schedule 5 days later to get the work done, after i already took a personal day to get the list taken care off. Before i left i told the service associate, to get me prices for the tires, so i could have an idea on what it would cost. I never heard back from him that day. So the next day i called back and asked if he had prices, which he said he did and they were outragouse (EVEN at supposed cost that they pay for them), he said he would find some cheaper tires and call me back, i said ok. He called me back later that day and told me the price of the tires, which i replied ok. Ok'ing the price of the tires. Not ok'ing the buy the tires and order them. Well a few days later I had my father drop the car off for all the work to be done. When my father dropped the car off, he told the same service associate that the car was there for freon and a detail. That i could get tires cheaper at another outlet and wasnt going to pay their 700+ for four tires. Which i only wanted two tires to begin with. So he said ok, and told my father he would take care of it all and would call him when the work was done. 5 hours later he calls my father and tells him the charge is done, the detail is done, and four new tires are on and we owe them 780 dollars. My father asked if he had talked with me and gotten the ok for the tires and he said yes that i verbally agreed at a earlier time. To which my father told him he knew i hadn't agreed as we had talked about taking the car to the other outlet after going to the dealer. Again the service associate told my father i had, and said we owed them the money for the tires. When my father told the associate that the tires weren't authorized and weren't going to be paid for the associate told my father that the he would speak to his manager and see what they could do. He called back and offered 80 dollars off the tires taking it down to 700. Which was still rediculous. My father told him we didn't authorize the tires to take them off and put the old ones back on, that he was on the way to pick the car up. The services associate got very verbal and very rude over the phone. My father called me and told me to come to the dealer and talk to them as well. When i got there the associate was very rude and informed me the tires were not coming off and i owed them the 700 dollars. (Essientlly, telling me to pay for the tires or not get my car back). After arguing with the associate and the manager of the service department, my father showed up. Again the Service associate was very rude with him, yelling and raising his voice, and telling him he was wrong. The manager pulled us in the office and sold us the tires at the cost of the other shop. But i had to call in and take off a half day, upsetting my manager, again. So overall, my experiance with this shop was so sub par there isn't a word that describes how upset i am with this dealership. The only thing I can say is i never EVER will do business with this dealership again. I would advise anyone buying to avoid this place as their business styles and ways of operationg are not correct. They will try to take advantage of you if you give them even the slightest chance. Did I mention the car, also didn't come with a keyFOB and i had to order one, get it programmed and cut at another dealer, since this one wasn't accomodated to do it. Cost me another 110 dollars. So overall AVOID this place. Signed UPSET CUSTOMER. None of this is made up or fabricated or exaggerated in the least bit. I hope this keeps a few customers away from this place, as no one should ever have the experiance i did buying a car. More
Takes over 5 minutes to get anyone in the Chevy service department to answer a phone, then they act like they just want you to drop dead. I had a small leak in my cooling system at the filling nozzle. I already had a couple of quotes and I went to serra for another. Chris came back with an outlandish quote including unnecessary repairs. Whe nozzle. I already had a couple of quotes and I went to serra for another. Chris came back with an outlandish quote including unnecessary repairs. When I confronted him, he acted in a very unprofessional manner and after I asserted myself, I left and went somewhere else for my repairs. I'll never go back to serra, or anywhere this chris dude works and I've been telling everyone I know the same. More

He walked right up to my car door and I though "here we go. another salesman all over me" but he gave me a big howdy when I stepped out and ended up being real cool and laid back and seemed genuinly wanting to help me out. I had been looking for a while and had shopped a couple other stores but Dave gave me all the right reasons and helped me finally pull the trigger. The truck is great and im happy with the whole deal More
I guess I would find reasons to eliminate this response. First I had to have my car towed to your facility. I received a return call with the problem and the estimated cost. I was shocked with the price o First I had to have my car towed to your facility. I received a return call with the problem and the estimated cost. I was shocked with the price of replacing the fuel pump at near 1,100.00 dollars. I just had a similar repair perfromed on my truck and it was under 600 dollars. Hesistant, I told them to order the part at around 11:30 in the AM. I reviewed my previous invoice for the similar repair and went to three other local repair shops for estimates which were significantly cheaper. I was told by the service writer that he would check with the service manager and call me back. Meanwhile, two hours later and not receiving a return call I went back to your shop. I again questioned the charges as compared to the local market. I was told that the price of the part, over 500 dollars for yours compared to 260 to 295 dollars at local auto parts stores was because your parts were GM ?????. I told him, the service writer, to cancel the work and that I would have my car towed to another repair facility. I am now charged for a service charge of 90 some dollars for I dont know what and told I had to pay a restocking charge for the part I ordered. Let me point out that at no time had I singned a service order or acknoledge what the actual charges were estimated to be. I finally lost it and refused to pay the restocking fee. I did however, pay the bill for 90 plus dollars. Your cost are too far out of competition and with economic times the way they are I would think you would want the service business. I promise I shall never return to your facility under any conditions. I am just one person with a big mouth. I am also a member of AARP, Birmingham Senior Citizens and retired from the US Marine Corps. Trust me when I say that I will braodcast this to all that I know. Taking advantage of Birmingham Seniors is not a wise way to do business. More
