The daythat I first began looking at the Ford F150 was a dismal dreary day. It was raining, cold, and not fit for man or beast. However, being the only day free to look, I chose to do so. The sales lot was well organized and had a vast selction from which to choose. Within a few minutes of looking, I was able to focus my interests on two or three vehicles. They were grouped by Model, color, options, and this made it quite easy for the casual shopper. Within a few minutes, I was approached by Fabian Salazar, who greeted me with a smile, and a handshake. He made eye contact with me and was interested about my needs in a Fordt truck. Withina short time, I was driving two of the vehicles, and given ample time to experience the F150 line of trucks. Afterwards, Fabian was encouraging of the finance options available, and sought to "run the numbers" in order to see if the sale was possible. It is very refreshing to be thought of as a valued customer from the onset and initial meeting and greeting. Fabian was very positive and knowledgeable of the F150 truck with regard to both major features and minor details that essentially allow the truck to sell itself. A short time later, I was introduced to Christal Jordan in the finance department. Christal was business friendly but also showed a great deal of interest in the finance options available that day. It was apparent after review of lenders contracts that the sale would not happen. Christal was quick to point out from the lender's contracts a high unreasonable interest rate, or long term, or too much down required. She was candid in her opinion that those terms would not be something she would accept, much less recommend to a customer. It was then that I knew and felt confident that she was honest, and forthright in her convictions to garner customer confidence in the finance portion of the buying experience as well. She was very encouraging to me, but suggested that I be patient and allow her to seek other options available to gain my business. Having nothing to lose at this point, I agreed and left the dealership knowing full well that Christal would represent my contract in the best possible circumstance. I received a message from Christal on Sunday that was very encouraging, asking that I contact her on Monday afternoon to see if any progress was made. I did so and was surprised to learn that she had talked with the appropriate managers and was able to make the deal happen. A short time later, I was able to drive the truck home. What a day that it was! In the recent past, I had an unfavorable encounter with a Ford Dealership in Midland. The salesman with whom I spoke had an arrogant, egotistical, and condescending attitude, seemingly more concerned with cell phone conversations (plural), texts and BS'ing with other salesmen, etc than showing concern for my business. He followed me around more than I followed him.! Having purchased three vehicles prior from the same dealership, I was taken back by the indifference he displayed, as well as his judgemental oratory as he gleaned from me that I was not from Midland's upper-crust, as he similarly and reluctantly presented my 2011 Nissan Titan to his manager for review and assessment as a trade-in. I'm sad to say that I will NEVER, EVER, take my business to that dealership again, because I grew up ,worked, and retired in Midland. I feel very strongly about the way people are treated when they walk into a retail business, be it a restaurant, tire dealership, or meat market. If the dealership had my name on it and a salesperson EVER treated a customer that way, the outcome would not be favorable toward the former salesman. I cannot say enough about my experience in buying this Ford truck from Fabian Salazar and Christal Jordan. Their names might as well have been on the dealership marquis too, because they both had a sense of pride in the service they provided and showed that they were willing to work hard and go the extra mile to provide the best outcome for me, and I was a valued customer, whether first time buyer or repeat customer. I feel confident in saying that Sewell Ford is and will always be successful because of people like Christal Jordan and Fabian Salazar. They are assets to your dealership! More
When I arrived at the dealership I asked for Paul Burnett because he had helped me at an earlier date. I almost immediately found the car I wanted. The sales consultants I worked with throughout my experience were extreemly helpful and very friendly. I kept coming back to drive the same car over and over (just to make sure I really-REALLY loved experience were extreemly helpful and very friendly. And even after I purchased the vehicle, the customer service I recieved... and am still recieving... is great! I'm so glad I decided to purchase from this dealership- they are the complete opposite of every stereotype associated with car salesmen. More
Wow! I have really come to appreciate Sewell Ford Lincoln of Odessa. They are by far the friendliest group of people to work with! (And yes I went to other dealerships to test drive other brands of Lincoln of Odessa. They are by far the friendliest group of people to work with! (And yes I went to other dealerships to test drive other brands of cars) The guys we worked with were AWESOME! They truly listened to what I wanted and predicted the perfect car for me before I even knew which one I wanted. George, Andrew, and Cain were not only friendly but FUN to work with. It felt like I was making deals with my friends and family! Plus a lot of laughter, which I love! The most important thing I noticed about Sewell was they did not put any pressure on me. They let me "take the wheel" and lead the whole time. They gave me time to do my research and look at all the car choices I wanted to. They showed me different options and even options I didn't think I wanted at all...just so I would know and learn to make better final decisions for myself. That was phenominal for me! Another dealership was trying to make me buy after a 5 minute test drive and hardly any talking...that's not what I wanted. I wanted someone to work with me and help me because this was my first experience in purchasing a brand new car. I wanted someone to LISTEN to me and Sewell does a great job of that! They were patient with me and never rushed me or pressured me. Those guys made my first buying experience special and FUN! I will never forget that patience, friendliness, and fun! This is the second purchase of a vehicle in 7 months and although went to other dealers we went back to Sewell, the reason was their attitude and service to the customer. Jason has sold us both trucks and although went to other dealers we went back to Sewell, the reason was their attitude and service to the customer. Jason has sold us both trucks and he continues to give the friendly; honest sales approach and makes you feel not only welcomed but appreciated for your business. We did not find that same attitude with other dealers within the area. Not only Jason but all of the personnel at the dealership from the Sales Manager to the finance department shows an attitude of we thank you for your business not the normal "buy and get out" attitude. They take time and work with you to find what you are looking for and answer your questions to the best of their knowledge. We will recommend Sewell to all our friends and family for this attitude.
