Shawnee Mission Kia

I came into the Kia dealership with a very clear idea of what I wanted. I had just visited a toyota dealership down the road, and they didn't really help me with my situation. I had a newer honda civic and a dying ford taurus, so I needed to even them out, I need two reliable and affordable cars. Antonio got right on board and he was very honest, he saw I had a clear goal and worked diligently with the sales manager Chin. I said I would settle for 05-07 cars if they meet my $400 a month requirement for both. THEY DID IT. Not only they got the payment just right, but I got 2 Kia Spectras 2009!!!! I liked their honesty, none of that "good cop, bad cop" routine, they were all about taking care of what I needed. They saw I was honest and they were upfront and honest with me too. I am very happy and would recommend them anytime. Also, both cars have factory warranty, so the service department has taken care of every little detail that was wrong with the cars (which was only minor cosmetic things from being used cars) without hesitation. Michael in the service department was very helpful and prompt to take care of my cars. My wife and I are very happy with our experience at Shawnee Mission Kia. More

I was very happy with everything at this dealer. The salesman was very helpful and friendly. The one thing I might suggest is offering hot chocolate alone with the coffee. I grew up in small town America and You kind of levitate to the town dealership. You always feel at home because you personally know the dealer. More than likely you grew up with the guy. From the moment I walked into the Shawnee Mission used car office I felt the way I did before I move out here 8 years ago. I want to be sure to say Bill Munsell was the friendliest salesman I have ever encountered in the used car business. I have been to other so called friendly places and felt like I was a burden. I handed Bill an unrealistic request and he met it within $25.00. I not only drove away in a different vehicle, I drove away in more than I was expecting and I drove away knowing I have a new friend. I never felt rushed or pressured into something I did not want. I was even willing to change my vehicle preference but, Bill managed to find exactly what I was looking for, within the price range I could afford. Horrible experience. I will NEVER buy from this dealership and am now not even considering a KIA based on my experience with this dealership. I went in with a mission: to test drive a Kia and see i dealership and am now not even considering a KIA based on my experience with this dealership. I went in with a mission: to test drive a Kia and see if I would be interested in purchasing a Kia car. When I walked in I was "placed" with Dustin - who once he heard my budget was obviously not interested in helping me or dealing with me anymore. After not even trying to show me any cars on the new car lot he pushed me over to the used lot and dumped me off on a "newer" sales person: Shannon. Shannon was nice enough but it took FOREVER for him to find a car to even look at. Spent more time trying to fill out his stupid paperwork than trying to sell me a car. Once we FINALLY looked at a car - he didn't know the price and I spent the entire test drive trying to drag out of him why a Kia would be a good car for me. He spent more time talking about what a great dealership this was and how they beat everyone in the area on sales - who cares!? Try selling the car! Finally toward the end of the test drive he started trying to up-sell me to a new car - too little too late - would have been interested an HOUR AGO! I felt like because I was a woman in the dealership on my own they weren't interested in even trying to sell me a car. Don't WASTE your time here. They don't give a flip about trying to help you. An hour and a half to finally test drive a car - ridiculous! I can PROMISE they won't be getting my business and I'll make sure to tell everyone I know not to go here. Don't know how they sell cars with this kind of service! WASTE OF MY TIME! More

Instead of working with me over the weekend, they are stating they will come get the car the hard way. Not Polite Not Professional and Certainly NOT A DEALERSHIP I would RECOMMEND. I personally feel they are smoke blowers, and DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER, they are only out for their greed and they should not have told me I was approved WASTED my WHOLE DAY at dealership while they got their paperwork in line, then DISMISS ME and demand the car a month later (which LAST WEEK EVERYTHING WAS FINE AND A DONE DEAL!!!!! I had a wonderful day today at Shawnee Mission Kia. I had done my research at home on my computer and had narrowed my search for a new car to 3, Toyota, Kia, and Honda. The engine in my Land Rover with only 40,000 miles on it needed to be replaced as did the car! I walked into Kia and there to meet me was Shannon Ingram. His smiling face was so welcome. He sat me down and asked me what brought me to SM Kia that day. He listened to my sad story and then helped me through my choice of a new car. I was there six hours of the best customer service I have ever received anywhere. I talked to the manager, several sales associates, and the financial officer. Each person was exceptionally polite, friendly, and helpful making my decision possible. Shannon answered my every question about my new 2011 Optima. He went over the car in detail showing me every option and detail about the car. I took a test drive with my husband and feel in love with our selection. It drove like a dream, smooth, and peppy. I loved the seats, and all the standard options that come with the car. When I returned we discussed other options I might be interested in. He asked me what type of driving I do and what things are important to me in a car. We discussed leasing/buying options and which would be best for me. I decided on leasing since I drive so few miles a year. When my car was ready, Shannon went over every detail of the use of my new car. He set my radio, phone, and seat for me!
