I was trading in a vehicle and initially was offered below what I could accept (rightfully so, the car had an issue), I explained where I needed the trade in value to be and I received a follow up call the next morning with a satisfactory response (they had to call around to find someone to pay what I needed for it). A day later I was in the dealership signing papers. I was afraid I would have to deal with the usual pressure and nonsense games that dealerships are known for putting on people. Not here. It was very casual. They knew what I was there for and didn't play any games with me. No 'extra fees' or anything that were unexpected. So I never went to a dealer to buy a car. I have an automotive background, and always bought person-to-person. That was until I met Alex Magner at Sheehy of Gaithersburg. I had a very smooth transaction, so easy in fact I really wonder where all the fuss comes from. I suppose if you went to some shady back alley dealer you may get swindled, but nit here. Customer service seems to be lost art these days. Being in the service industry myself, I know I tend to expect certain things when it comes to service. My expectations were not only met, but far exceeded. I was never "sold" anything, just shown some options and left to decide, my Salesperson was Alex, and he left me alone to browse, but was right there to answer any questions I had. I would buy another car from him again, even though the dealership is an hour away from where I live. More
