Easy Transaction; Koby was great Went to see a specific car that I had found online. My MKX had been totalled several weeks before and I had narrowed my search to 3 vehicles. Dealerships were over 2 hours from my home, so a long day. But met Koby Boakye and he was so pleasant & knowledgeable that it was a no brainier that I would purchase the vehicle. Service by other staff involved was also professional and helpful. Bought the extended warranty. They even had the vehicle delivered to Sheehy dealership nearer to my home for pickup today. Got the same service there. If you visit the Gaithersburg location, ask for Koby. You will not be disappointed. More

The second time I've had a negative experience. I made an appointment on-line to have my oil changed and my 10,000 mile checkup. I needed to wait for the service to be done (I couldn't just drop the I made an appointment on-line to have my oil changed and my 10,000 mile checkup. I needed to wait for the service to be done (I couldn't just drop the car off), so I had to book about a week in advance to get a "wait for it" appointment. The first time available was a 10:15 slot. When I got there (on time) I stood waiting for 5 minutes or so until someone became available. He gestured with his head for me to come over and then stood staring at me (I guess that's the Sheehy version of "May I help you?") I told him I had an appointment and when he looked it up, he actually said to me, in an extremely rude tone "You are the eighth person waiting for your car! You do know that, don't you!? Because you're the last to check in, it's going to be at least a 2 hour wait!" He didn't say "I'm sorry it's going to be 2 hours." or "We're so sorry for the mix up." Or anything like that. He actually blamed ME for being the eighth person to wait for my car! As if I'd have some way of knowing that. I asked him why the computer would allow me to book an appointment if it was going to be a 2 hour wait (without warning me about it) and he didn't even bother to answer me. I think he noticed that I was getting really mad at his attitude, because he started being slightly nicer to me and directed me to the new customer waiting area. Two hours later, a different (more pleasant) person came to tell me my car was ready. I've now had two visits to Sheehy Ford's service department and had to deal with two different, VERY unpleasant service people. I think I'll find a new place to take my car. More

A Pleasant Surprise I recently bought a Ford Fiesta from Sheehy in Gaithersburg. My salesman was David Gray. My financing guy was Mike Zeller and Shelley went over general car stuff with me. David was persistent and helpful without being particularly sales-y. He definitely wanted to sell me a car, but one that would work for me. He was friendly and genuine, had a good sense of humor and spent a fair amount of time looking for the car I had seen in the inventory online. He also came in on his day off to finish up the sale. (Obviously that was to his benefit, but still...) Once I decided to buy it, there were the usual extras they tried to sell me (exterior coating, extended service warranty and service contract) which I guess, since this was car purchase #5 I have finally learned to say 'No' to those things, but other than that, the process was smooth and friendly and not so high pressure that I left feeling vague buyer's remorse, which is what usually happens. Mike was helpful in reviewing my financing options--leasing ultimately proved to be the best one. Everyone was helpful, the lounge has comfortable seating, a good TV, free wifi and an impressive espresso machine. They delivered the car clean and with a full tank of gas and went over everything with me. I have to say, it was the least painful car buying experience I have ever had. I know that doesn't sound like a rave, but it really is. More
