I had been searching for the right vehicle for my daughter for about a month and had narrowed it down to either a Ford Edge or Ford Explorer. I was very familiar with the Explorer but not with the Ed daughter for about a month and had narrowed it down to either a Ford Edge or Ford Explorer. I was very familiar with the Explorer but not with the Edge. I went to Sheehy Ford for the sole purpose of test driving the Edge. I had no intention of purchasing a car on the same day because my daughter was not with me. I was introduced to the Salesman, Woody and explained the purpose of my visit and he could not have been more accommodating. I felt no pressure, only customer service. I did not feel the Edge was the right choice and there did not seem to be the right Explorer on the lot. As I was preparing to leave Woody suggested that he just check the inventory that happened to be arriving. By chance there was a 2012 Explorer that had arrived about an hour earlier only the price was not within the range that we had been discussing. Woody got his manager, Dave involved and Dave was able to meet the price. When I returned the next day to complete the paperwork, it turned out that we had some mis-communication regarding the inclusion or not of the taxes, tags and fees in the price. This is where Sheehy really demonstrated customer service. I want to be clear that I believe that this was a genuine misunderstanding and neither myself, Woody or Dave intended for our conversation from the prior night to be unclear. Woody and Dave were clearly concerned with my experience. In the end Dave worked something out using my old car that we all could live with (ironically and coincidentally after I arrived home after my first visit my daughter got into an accident in my car - no injuries - but there was a least $5,000 worth of damage). The main point here is that my experience was great and the folks at Sheehy really did/do care. More
