I recently purchased a new 2013 Ford Explorer Ltd from Sheehy Ford. My decision to purchase a new vehicle was somewhat unexpected as my 2002 Explorer suddenly developed a major transmission problem (afte Sheehy Ford. My decision to purchase a new vehicle was somewhat unexpected as my 2002 Explorer suddenly developed a major transmission problem (after 167,000 mi.) and thus left me with little time to waste. I submitted a solicitation to all of the local Ford dealerships for the vehicle I was looking for and of course received emails from at least 10 different dealers' internet sales people. I indicated that I would only communicate via email and after doing a lot of research (in a short amount of time), I knew pretty much exactly what I wanted and the price that I was looking to pay. I arranged a test drive with Corey Ray, who I found to be very straightforward, and not pushy at all. Since Sheehy was the dealership closest to my home, I explained that I wanted to look at the vehicle and test drive it but that I'd only be purchasing there if the price was right. As I said, I spoke with and communicated with several other dealerships, but Corey worked with me to offer me the price I wanted and moved diligently to locate the exact truck with options that I wanted. Within about one week of starting my search, we came to an agreement and I purchased my new Explorer. Corey was careful to tell me the best times for both my test drive, and my final purchase/delivery, in order to have the least amount of waiting and hassle. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my ENTIRE purchase experience, from the couple of meetings with Corey, to the final purchase and sitting down with the financing folks was the best that I recall. Everyone I came in contact with through the sales process was very friendly, and knowledgeable, and most of all willing to take as much time as was needed to explain everything and answer my many questions. The only thing I wish I would have done is got a better deal on my new escape. The sale price was 19,890 something and even with a 5000 down payment my new total was still 19,280.
