My experience has been that there has been excellent communication, good input about what needs attention on the car, real patience in diagnosing whatever the problem is (few problems), all without breaking the bank in terms of expense. In my household we own an ES and a different manufacturer's brand; the difference in approach, customer service and expertise is obvious. Sheehy Lexus is a business I would not hestitate to build a long term relationship with. More

I have bought many new cars and never gone back to the same dealership for a second car until i went to Sheehy Lexus of Annapolis. After many bad experiences with Jeep and Nissan I came into Sheehy to pu same dealership for a second car until i went to Sheehy Lexus of Annapolis. After many bad experiences with Jeep and Nissan I came into Sheehy to purchase my first lexus with a "buyer beware attiude", I left very happy but still thinking ok so I have purchased my car now that is the last time I will hear from them (as with other dealerships) - I was proven to be totally wrong! not only did I receive several follow up emails and a letter to welcome me to their dealership stating that they look forward to continuing the relationshipship (what - this is unheard of!) I was and still continued to be treated with the utmost respect even when bringing my car in for a simple car wash - which by the way is complimentary for the entire time you own your vehicle!! So, I have now done something that I have never done before - return to Sheehy Lexus to buy my second vehicle from the same sales consultant - Chris List. My RX350 is a 5-star hotel on wheels - and the service from Sheehy -for the entire time you own your vehicle - outstanding!! More

A few comments before the review: I am a very skeptical car buyer and an admittedly tough customer to satisfy. Like many of you, I've purchased new vehicles in the past and in the process have endured some car buyer and an admittedly tough customer to satisfy. Consequently, my expectation is that every stage of the new car deal presents the distinct probability that under-handed and deceptive practices will be employed to benefit the dealer at the expense of the customer. That's the baggage I bring to the table. Moving on to the review... After stumbling onto the Dealerrater website, the highest rated area Lexus dealer stood out immediately - Sheehy Lexus of Annapolis rated 4.9/5.0 (with over 70 reviews). Although Annapolis was a 40 minute drive, such high ratings warranted further investigation. I inquired about a new vehicle through the Sheehy website. I was immediately contacted by Shandrial Hudson to schedule an appointment. From the first contact, Shandrial was the consummate professional. During the appointment I received an excellent presentation on the ES350, including the subtle differences between the 2010 and 2011 models. I was familiar with the nuances and was pleased to find myself in the company of a thoroughly knowledgeable salesperson. I expressed concerns regarding recent recall/safety issues, each of which was addressed directly and completely. After test driving two cars I concluded my visit without making an offer. Though I spent two hours with Shandrial and was introduced to the General Sales Manager, I departed without a hint of pressure - a welcomed change from my past dealership experiences. During the following week I took some time to reflect on the car and on the purchase - a time during which I received only a single pleasant follow-up inquiry from Shandrial. Once I knew I was serious about the car I contacted Shandrial. Provided we could come to an agreement on price and I could see all the terms in writing, I was ready to purchase the car. At this part of the deal, I expected there would be some difficulty. I found myself suspiciously looking for the typical dealership tactics. I had a couple of minor questions about the buyers order and financing agreement and Shandrial addressed those in short order. And no matter how hard I looked, I found no evidence to justify my suspicions. Lastly, I needed to have the car brought to me during a narrow window of time on a specific day. Although Shandrial had a scheduling conflict she rearranged her schedule to accommodate my needs. When Shandrial delivered the car all the paperwork was in order and completing the deal was smooth. I was truly quite surprised by this car purchasing experience. I can say only good things about the Sheehy dealer in general and about Shandrial in particular. In short, Shandrial did everything most sales representatives do not. - she knows the product inside and out - she listens attentively - she focuses on customer needs and concerns - she responds to customer needs and concerns forthrightly - she does what she says It is abundantly clear why Sheehy Lexus and Shandrial Hudson receive the best customer ratings - they earn it, one customer at a time. I started with Shandrial through their Internet contact, met her and drove a CPO RX400h Hybrid as my first research stop. I returned with my wife the next week and drove another CPO Hybrid with Chris, since Shandrial was delivering a car to a buyer's home. Both of them are extremely personal, knowledgeable, no pressure sales professionals, and make car buying a pleasure, as does the entire dealership. Chris delivered the car to my home the next day after we agreed to my price over the phone (thank you Doug King!). The kitchen table paperwork took five minutes. Chris then programmed my three "roaming" garage doors, and then answered any remaining questions I had before leaving. Two days later, Shandrial delivered the spare keys to my home! I highly recommend Shandrial and Chris without hesitation to family, friends and strangers, for the best car dealership customer service I have ever experienced in my lifetime. This is a story of turning lemons into lemonade. My RX330 was brought in for service. I wasn't at all happy and certainly not in the mood to do more business - especially this close to the holidays. Enter our Sales Consultant, Dan Polgreen. He got actively involved in the process. Unlike other dealerships where employees come and go, Mr. Polgreen has consistently been available and willing to put forth his best effort with professionalism, humor, and a capacity to understand, build trust and posit solutions. The breakdown in communications within the Service Lane was resolved and much as I hate to admit it - I was not entirely without some responsibility. All was resolved satisfactorily. More importantly this public feedback isn't about Sheehy Service per se'- it is about Customer service, owner retention and increased sales. I've been in many dealerships where there is a breakdown in communications between departments. Sheehy Lexus of Annapolis, MD has been very effective in removing obstacles to resolving customer concerns and has fostered through personal representatives such as Mr. Polgreen a sense of placing the customer first. There is always a tension between purchasing a great product and/or service and the cost for doing so. Mr. Polgreen navigates thru this process by building trust, providing clear and accurate information and being respectful of the client's needs, placing them before his own. I do not know Mr. Polgreen outside of the relationship we have formed within the dealership but after almost 4 decades of purchasing vehicles from countless, nameless sales people I can honestly say that I've met one that I would invite into my own home! I can't speak to the integrity of the rest of the Sheehy Sales staff other than to say that if they're cut of the same broadcloth that Mr. Polgreen is, that the Sheehy organization's HR staff and/or Training Department is to be applauded.
