My husband and I viewed the commercial which was aired on late night television from Crazy 88. We called and then the next day, we received calls from various dealerships, one being Sherman Dodge in Skokie, late night television from Crazy 88. We called and then the next day, we received calls from various dealerships, one being Sherman Dodge in Skokie, IL. We went to that dealership to see about purchasing a car for $88 a month. We were immediately seated in a back section of the dealership and they ran our credit. I was told that I can purchase a vehicle for $545 a month. That was my only option. I was told there was nothing for $88 per month and that we were in a section of this dealership that dealt with people with poor credit. I felt less than human when I was told this. I observed that the front section of this dealership was for those who had money and had excellent credit. I then heard the sales people in the back area following up on "leads" from the Crazy 88 commercial and the people in this section of the dealership were what I observed to be "people with lower incomes." The fact that we purchased the vehicle for this high amount was partially our fault. However, I felt and still feel, that I needed a reliable car to get back and forth to work and because of my credit, I felt I had no other choice. The 96 Jeep I had was not reliable and being a hard, working instructor who has to travel to four campuses throughout the Chicago land area, I really had no other choice. The genreal manager of the low income back section of Sherman told us that we could reapply in six months to get a lower payment. Now six months later, I am current on my payment, which is not always easy, but then my husband received a letter from Chrysler Capital, our financing company that we were pre approved for another vehicle for up to $25k from yet another dealership, Marino. We went to Marino Chrysler Jeep Dodge and were told that the Chrysler 200 we purchased for 24K was only worth 16K and we would have to wait for another six months. At least at Marino, we were not placed in the back room designated for only the "low income" people with the false hope of an $88 per month payment. But the end result is still the same. More
My experience at Sherman, and especially with my salesman Alex Sandoval, was outstanding! I have been researching a new 2014 Jeep Patriot Sports for a couple months now. I new exactly the exterior and inter Alex Sandoval, was outstanding! I have been researching a new 2014 Jeep Patriot Sports for a couple months now. I new exactly the exterior and interior color I wanted, and the exact options that were right for my family and me. I researched every dealership's inventory within 100 miles. It turned out that there was only one available, but this was not at Sherman. It was at a dealer 35 miles south of the city of chicago. This is where the car buying experience gets interesting for me. I visited the dealership that had the one Jeep outfitted the way I liked. The test drive went great, i liked the sales people involved and I was working with them on the price. I noticed a couple scratches across the hood and pointed them out to the salesman. I asked if these could be removed without repainting. He said that he wasn't sure, but he will ask his detail person and get back to me. I never heard from him again. I then decided to price a Jeep that had all the options I liked except for the wheels I wanted. (I figured I could just buy them separately.) This dealership is just northwest of the city. The salesman was horrible. The owner of the dealership must have no clue how poorly this person represents his dealership. I asked for their best price on the vehicle I wanted with all rebates that would apply to me, and I wanted an out the door price. I requested it be emailed to me so I can compare deals. Of course he called me with a price and I asked a couple pricing question to understand the deal because it was all verbal with a lot of information. I was then attacked with comments like; what, are you going to buy a bigger house with an extra $500 off or how about, I have to eat too, there was more, but you get the idea. All I was doing was tring to understand a deal that took him 2 minutes to present. I was completely disgusted and went back to the Internet. I went to a car buying site and put in my information. Something I didn't ever want to do. Within minutes, I got 3 or 4 calls. One was from Candice at Sherman Dodge Chrysler Jeep. She was polite and curtious. I gave her my needs for a Jeep. She said they would get back to me. Within minutes Alex Sandoval called me. He said that he located the Jeep I wanted leaving the factory and he could have it there Monday. I agreed to meet him Saturday to take a test drive in a Jeep Patriot that was a different color, but with all the options I wanted. After the test drive, It was what our family wanted. Alex said he will contact me when it comes in Monday so I could view it. It came in Monday. We negotiated a deal by text within 20 minutes, contingent upon my approval of the Jeep and a test drive. I met Alex Tuesday morning, took the Jeep for a test drive and approved the deal he gave by text with no further negotiations on either party. He took the necessary information and then brought me to Avanes David, the finance manager, to put the sales contract together. Arenas was another great guy and a pleasure to deal with. I did not bring a check with me so I put a deposit down with my credit card with the understanding I would come back Wednesday to pay the balance due by check. I was able to come back Tuesday night and not Wednesday. Both Avaneas and Alex were there and got my wife and me through the final paper work and out the dealership with our new vehicle within 15 minutes. Both men were a pleasure to deal with and never applying any pressure. They listened, told me what the deal was and executed exactly what they said. I would definitely recommend Alex to anyone I know looking for a Dodge, Chrysler or Jeep. He truly made the car buying experience a pleasure...the way we all want it it, and the way it should be. Thank you Alex! More

Salespeople passed us many time, didn't even bother to ask anything, walked around.. noone gave a xxxx.. went to used car section, those folks saw us but went out and stood out.. my dad said, dont argue, we should not buy from the place who can't meet you at the beginning, it's going to be worst afterwards. I wish some other management team takes over to not lose serious buyers. More

I was very upset because prices on the current ad that was posted on their website were not honored and the the prices were said the have already included the "bonus cash." The prices on the vehicle changed by the week and they were not willing to honor the price that was listed online. They promise ridiculously low numbers, and they do it by including ALL rebates in their ads. Well, Chrysler has a lot of rebates, most of which people dont qualify for, such as: Are you currently driving a leased vehicle? Are you retired or active military National Assoc of Realtors? I decided to hold off on getting a new vehicle, when a guy Artest called stating he was the sales manager and asked mE to come back and they will give me a "heat" deal because it was the end of the month and they needed to sale as many cars as possible. I went back in on January 31, 2014 to see what this great price was. I was first told that the guy who called me, his job was to call and get customers back in and he didn't have any authority to negotiate any offers and couldn't bet a price of a Jeep that I saw at Fletcher Jones. Well, the sales guy really had not control and kept running back to the guy who negotiates the prices. I can remember his name, but he was very rude to the sales guy the first time I went. Well, "the negotiator" came over to my table. The sales guy Norvell tells him I was called back in and told that they will give me a great price on a 2012 Jeep Cherokee. Well, on his walk to my table, the negotiating guy rebuttal to Norvel, "that's what they call and tell all of the customers to get them back in here." I shock his hand and ask what price can he offer. He then changed his story and stated he will match Fletcher Jones price! I reminded him of his statement that he would bet their price, and he brushed me off and asked what was my limit. I rebottled, "what price are you offering?" Long story short, he had already came over to the table with an attitude and during our so call negotiation, I had to ask him to lower voice when speaking with me! Now mind you, I AM THE ONE WHO WAS CALLED BACK IN AND THEY WERE TRYING TO EARN MY MONEY!!!!! There is a huge problem with a company anytime there is a POWER STRUGGLE between the paying customer and the employee of the company! The sales guy, Norvel, just sat there and didn't say a word while the guy that "so calls negotiates the deals" was LOUD, rude and disrespectful. I showed him prces of other vehicles at other dealers that were lower than Sherman Dodge price, and he told me that I need to come back and speak to him when I can be realistic!! I ended the conversation by telling them that MY MONEY SPENDS EVERYWHERE!and walked out!!! I was called in to be disrespected, talked to in a demeaning and condescending way. Also, I didn't need for them to finance me, I had my own finance company. I just need them to give me a good price o,n a Jeep Cherokee. I was infuriated when I left Sherman Dodge and WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THEM. I called that afternoon to speak with the sals manager, left a message for a Tom or John and still have not received a returned call. I WOULD SPEND $5000 MORE AT ANOTHER DEALER T RECEIVE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TREATMENT FROM A COMPANY. BUYER BE WARE...... More
I went here to purchase a brand new 2014 Dodge Durango. I did research online prior to going to the dealership on pricing and they appeared to have the best price, but it was not. Upon arrival there was N I did research online prior to going to the dealership on pricing and they appeared to have the best price, but it was not. Upon arrival there was NO PARKING AT ALL. The "lot" was overcrowded with cars for purchase and cars that their service department was currently working on. When I entered the dealership itself it was like a cattle call and I felt as if I were a cow being hearded for slaughter. The salesman Derik acted like a 2 year old when he realized that he was not going to make a sale with me; and might I add he did so multiple times. My father who came over 12 hours away to visit me and I were left alone for almost 2 hours off and on. This never ever would have happened with my regular salesman back home. He also tried to convince me that my trade in car was worth nothing. The salesman was very upset when I wouldn't take the new vehicle I had test drove home overnight when I told him I needed a night to think about the purchase. The next day he was upset that I went to another dealership where I was given a better price and treated much much better. I ended up buying my Durango at the other dealership where I was treated like a customer should be treated. More
Dealer has great prices. They price their cars very competitively online. With that said they do not really negotiate price (which is fine). So, you can basically work out the numbers before you get competitively online. With that said they do not really negotiate price (which is fine). So, you can basically work out the numbers before you get there or over the phone. My recent experience with Angelo was ok at first. However, after a couple calls and no response back to my request for some #'s I called back. He told me he was too busy and that giving me a price over the phone was not a priority. He told me I could speak to a manager and as I said "ok" he hung up on me. I can't speak to the rest of the dealership but Angelo was not friendly and said they sell 500 cars a month and didn't have time to make me a priority. With all that being said I won't being going back to purchase the truck we wanted. We'll go else where. More
I have driven an SUV for nearly 20 years -- from the Ford Explorer to the Volvo XC 90 to the Mercedes Benz ML 350. When my Mercedes Benz was totaled in March, any other option besides another Mercedes Benz w Explorer to the Volvo XC 90 to the Mercedes Benz ML 350. When my Mercedes Benz was totaled in March, any other option besides another Mercedes Benz was out of the question for me. That is, until I experienced the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. This automobile is in a class by itself. It offers an incomparable driving experience as well as the safety, security and features I thought were exclusive to the Benz. In many ways, the Jeep experience far exceeds the Benz SUV. Likewise, the customer care I received from Zack Segreti and Ron Collins throughout the entire purchase was second to none. Buying a new car is a long, frustrating process -- especially for some like me with very little patience for for pushy sales people, negotiating a deal, completing paperwork, selecting color, options, blah, blah, blah. But every question or concern I had was addressed with the patience and expertise you expect from a dealer who understands you are looking for a long-term investment in high quality transportation. Mr. Segreti and Mr. Collins appreciated my needs, respected my terms, stayed on top of this purchase, and stayed in touch with me until I had a automobile I was happy with and terms I could afford. Thank you Zack. Thank you Ron. Thank you Sherman! V. Pyatt Customer #255149 More
We have Never been treated so poorly at a dealership, we found the car we wanted on-line and then called the dealership. They were so eager for us to come in and look at the vehicle in person, so we did. It found the car we wanted on-line and then called the dealership. They were so eager for us to come in and look at the vehicle in person, so we did. It was the car we wanted, so we then wanted to make a purchase at the offer that was stated on their web-site or lower. That's when everything changed, we actually paid ALOT more than what was stated on the web-site. This dealership is out of control, they made so many promises and told so many lies to us. I have purchased many Jeep Cherokee's in my lifetime and have never encountered service like this. I, in the future will have an open mind on what make of a vehicle I will purchase, I cannot purchase another Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep in the future do to the people that work for them. I purchased a 2013 Cherokee, that was a Demo with around 5700 ml on it, they promised my warranty would start at 5700 ml (lie)! I then, two days after my purchase which was on a Friday drove to FL and noticed my radio was staticy. They sold this vehicle to me with a broken antenna, I paid over $200.00 to have it fixed in FL. I called Jerry Skiba to let him know and he laughed at me and said "You broke it" we will not pay for anything! Overall this Dealership makes Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep look horrible, I will never recommend it to anyone. I have never been so humiliated or treated so poorly in my life. The General Manager Tom Segreti also told me I have to pay for the antenna myself and said Good Luck, then hung the phone up. More
We received top notch service from Bobby Caputo! He was enthusiastic, personable and downright great to work with! We guarantee we'll be back, and we will refer Bobby to anyone we meet that is looking to purchase a vehicle! Kudos to your Finance team as well! There is always a wait when completing paperwork at a dealership, yet the wait here was minimal. Mr. Fleming was easygoing, and took us through the paperwork with ease! Great job team! More
Do not waste your time going to this dealership. Their advertisements are a fraud. When I pointed out that the advertising was misleading the sales manager did not apologize or offer to make it right somehow. I would definitely advise to go elsewhere. More
