Had problems with a car I purchased and took it back to get serviced. I was told my car UBS ports was only meant to exchange information between my car and phone not to charge my phone. However, when I fi get serviced. I was told my car UBS ports was only meant to exchange information between my car and phone not to charge my phone. However, when I first purchased the car(less than a week before I started experiencing problems) the car UBS ports no longer charged or displayed CarPlay. Went back only to be told that my car didn’t have CarPlay. Funny how the day I purchased it the CarPlay and USB ports worked perfectly fine but now apparently those features didn’t exhaust in my car. It took the Tech all of 2 hours to read the manual and regurgitate information back to me from the car manual. After a little back and forth turns out the USB ports were fried and were meant to both charge my phone and exchange information between my phone and car for CarPlay. They did fix it, but I still didn’t appreciate being call a liar and than being told I fried the UBS port by charging something I shouldn’t have when the tech didn’t even believe me that the USB port was also meant to charge phones. More
