I was coming up from Austin and asked them several times to look it over and let me know if there anything broke or not working. Was told “it’s very clean” several times. Drove down to find probably 5 obvio to look it over and let me know if there anything broke or not working. Was told “it’s very clean” several times. Drove down to find probably 5 obvious items that were broken or not working. One item they told me was “ how the car was designed and it’s a back vent”. I should have taken them to look at a new one when they told me that. I ultimately purchased the vehicle because it’s what my wife wanted and I knew I had bumper to bumper warranty but I do have buyers remorse. Definitely would have went a different route knowing then what I know now. More
The finance person told me I had to purchase an extended warranty and put more money down to get a certain lower interest rate. He told me that at the new lower interest rate - even with the extended warran warranty and put more money down to get a certain lower interest rate. He told me that at the new lower interest rate - even with the extended warranty included - my payments were virtually the same. Made it sound like the warranty would basically be free. Then the contract had the higher interest rate and the warranty (at the payment he quoted). He told me to come back in and he would rewrite the contract at the lower rate to make it right. Then when I told him to cancel the warranty he said I couldn’t and also that if he did I could not get the lower interest rate. This is called rate recession and payment packing and it’s illegal and unethical. The general manager was able to rewrite my contract at the lower rate and without the warranty More
