Shottenkirk Toyota of Weatherford is the dealership that gives used car dealerships a bad name. I went in last week to test drive a Jeep they had advertised as "Shottenkirk price" $43,948. This is the SAME PRICE as many other dealers are asking without ridiculously padded dealers "hidden asterisk disclaimer" fees. When I arrived the lot it was a ghost town with zero sales men to help so I drove around for about 20 min looking at Jeeps...which turned out to be a bad decision because BOTH front tires of my Dodge got nails in them from the parking lot!!! I had to drive to Discount Tire with 2 flats! But not knowing this yet, I walked in around 11am and the receptionist was at the front wrapped in a blanket with a heater at her feet. She said they only put the heat on in the offices for the managers but not for showroom employees. WTH!? I had an appt, yet when I arrived all the salesmen were in a meeting and made me stand by the front door waiting in the cold. All the salesmen had fake leather office chairs with the plastic completely tattered and peeling off and the cubicles were all filthy and cluttered. Basically, a dump. Blake, my salesman was great though. He answered my questions, talked straight and looked me in the eye. He even bought me a coffee during the test drive since they don't offer coffee to their customers in the showroom. The Jeep rattled going down the road so I decided to continue shopping elsewhere. Then the manager comes over to try to strong arm the sale with pushy tactics. RUDE,! This week I went back to do a comparison drive to the other vehicles I'd driven. Blake was off that day. When I told the salesman if I purchased it would be from Blake, he said with attitude "If Blake hasn't spoken to you within 72hrs you're FAIR GAME". So not cool! He threw Blake under the bus to steal a commission! But after the second test drive, the Jeep still rattled and the engine smelled like leaking coolant and oil! ...so, obviously their "big inspection/reconditioning" that they feel acceptable to charge &6200 for... was nothing more than a wash and Armor All. So, I asked for a printout of the Out The Door price to take with me. Then the pushy manager came out with two big guys and cornered me. If you're a woman you know that flutter of fear you get in your chest when something is not right. He put the pricing paper on the desk and slid it towards me. I look down and literally choked. The ADVERTISED "Shottenkirk Price" from their website had multiplied like wet Gremlins to an OTD price of OVER $52,900!!! It included TTL of about $2800...leaving a WHOPPING $6,200 SO CALLED RECONDITIONING FEES...AKA FALSE ADVERTISING! And I was paying CASH so none of that was financing! When I asked what happened to the advertised price, first he tried to say it was a price from some third-party site. No, here it is on YOUR WEBSITE. Then he tried to claim it was the "Wholesale Price" that everyone pays for that car. Again no, all other dealers are selling it at around $43,900 +TTL ONLY. Then he tried to claim it was a "Reconditioning Fee". No yet again, it doesn't cost 0ver SIX GRAND to clean a car...and if it was truly "run through vigorous inspections, etc" it wouldn't rattle down the road and reek of coolant and burning oil after a 10min test drive. So, I just shook my head in disbelief and said "ok, I'm done". When I tried to pick up the paper with the pricing, he grabbed it from me so hard it tore and cut my finger!!! He wadded up the paper and held it in his fist with this grimace I can't put into words. I yelled something like "what the F is wrong with you people...you are out of your minds! What kind of place does business like this"!? And rushed past the men to get out of there! These people should be put of business plain and simple. Save your hard earned money and valuable time. Go to CarMax or Carvana where they actually have warranties... and after the sale service... and satisfaction guarantees. NOT Shottenkirk where the only warranty you get is whatever is still available through the manufacturer based on the cars age and mileage...LAME. When I asked Shottenkirk if I could take the car to a mechanic since it had obvious mechanical issues, I was told they don't allow that because "they've had issues letting mechanics check out their cars"? CarMax gave me the same car with no issues OVER NIGHT to take to whatever mechanic I wish... just to know I would have peace of mind...with NO obligation to purchase. Shottenkirk, you are a dinosaur and doomed to some seriously bad repercussions to your failing business model of intimidating women and "anything for a buck". I'm thankful they showed their true colors so easily because now I'm buying the same car at the advertised price, with fewer miles and leather seats, and zero mechanical issues from CarMax. And all they charge is the required Texas fees of $150 and TTL. Zero strong arm intimidation tactics. Zero backstabbing salesmen. Zero Dealer Fees. 24hr test drive...30 Day Return period. And the added bonus of no spending hours getting my tires repaired because of their parking lot isn't full of screws. And their showroom was warm, clean and inviting. STAY AWAY FROM SHOTTENKIRK TOYOTA! BAD TREATMENT OF WOMEN. SLEAZY MANAGER PUSHY SALES TACTICS. GROSS SHOWROOM & LOT. BACK STABBING SALESMEN. FALSE ADVERTISING PRICES. HIDDEN DEALER FEES SO HIGH IT BORDERS ON FRAUD. POOR WORKING CONDITIONS FOR EMPLOYEES. CARS WITH MECHANICAL ISSUES. NO WARRANTIES OR SATISFATION GUARANTEES. And that's just what I experienced. I don't want to even imagine what's hidden from plain sight. More

I am a widow, nearly 90 years old, and I’m slightly intimidated at An automobile dealership. I do not feel that way when I visit Shottenkirk in Hudson Oaks. The ladies that usually help me are so kind intimidated at An automobile dealership. I do not feel that way when I visit Shottenkirk in Hudson Oaks. The ladies that usually help me are so kind and understand that I do not hear well. They make that extra effort to make me comfortable in the waiting room. Sometimes I am shocked at how much things cost these days, but then realize I’m coming from prices in the depression years of 1930s. Keep up the good work, Toyota. Buyer Beware!!! Bait & switch!!! They charged me an additional $8,700 and didn’t inform me about it! Said the online price was a wholesale price and then they add on their inspection fees. Of course, it's a non working number, so they look like they made an attempt to remedy my complaints but I couldn't respond. This is my original review: I was pressured in to purchasing a 2021 Highlander. I had to purchase that day to get the end of the month "special" deal. I should have known better. Once I drove it home, that was on a Friday, I realized it didn't have the drivers side seat memory. So I took it back 2 days later, on a Monday, and was told it was already titled to me and now it was a used vehicle. To get the Limited model, I would lose about $10,000. That was a very expensive lessen I could not afford but since my husband is 6'4 and I'm 5'2, my drivers seat would always be messed up when he drove. If I'd have known how it would be a used vehicle now with less than 100 miles, I would have taken it home and sold it myself. Especially since there is a new car shortage, I could have sold it in one day. More

Ridiculous fees. Had a 2017 Tahoe for $43,974 on their website and the out the door price after $5k in ridiculous fees brought the out the door price to $52k.
