Andrew, I would like to personally help you with resolving this and try to earn your trust back. As with most of our problems, it is always about good communication. Without good communication, we cannot exceed out customer's expectations. So, if you would like to contact me at kevin@siouxfallsford.com or 815-409-9894 I would like to try to come up with a solution for you. I'm the General Sales Manager at Sioux Falls Ford Lincoln and I apologize for how this went. It was not intentional and it could have easily been prevented on our end. The normal process after taking a deposit is to remove the vehicle from the lot, as they did, and place a hold/sold tag in the vehicle with sales consultant info as well as a sales manager's authorization. That is the step that was not done on our end and the second consultant involved didn't know that you had a deposit on it. To make matters worse, there were no questions asked about it until the paperwork was being completed with the other guest. I would be the first to say that you were not treated properly and I would like to help you and make amends if we can. We may have some other substitute vehicles that may work for you, we are trying to trade in a similar Sport with a few less miles on it that could work. Or, there may be some other options. Andrew, Thank you for responding back last week. We do have another 2010 Sport Fusion at one of our stores that does not have hail damage. It would be the same price as the one that you were originally intending to purchase, it does have a few thousand more miles on it, but it does not have hail. I can make that work, if that would be acceptable to you. The other one that may work is another 2010 Sport that we are trying to trade in on a New Fusion. The buyer is not 100% commited to trading, but he is close and that may be happening shortly.
