Great Experience We walked into the Lujack Mazda new car showroom thinking we had a fair idea of what we wanted. We had the whole place to ourselves long enough to cl We walked into the Lujack Mazda new car showroom thinking we had a fair idea of what we wanted. We had the whole place to ourselves long enough to climb in and out of several cars and confirm some ideas & come up with good questions. Tim Herrin was truly professional; totally, relaxingly, friendly; extremely knowledgeable; and helpful. He immediately understood exactly which Mazdas we were deciding between, and why. We drove exactly three cars which he selected according to our model and trim desires. One was almost definitely "the one". Tim listened intently to our concerns and clearly explained wide-ranging options. No pressure. As we collectively scratched heads we saw an entirely different car sitting on the lot, one that wasn't even on our list; it was a Kia. Wham, bam, that became "the car". No brand loyalty! No "sell what you have" pitch. Totally, "whatever makes you happy, whether one of my cars or another one." Throughout the entire selection process Tim made it explicitly clear that his primary interest, his sole (soul?) desire, was for us to be happy, whether with any car or even without any car. Thank you, Tim, for being so openly customer-oriented and conscientious. Experienced customers generally tense up when going to the Finance Manager (FM) because too many times and places, the FM has an agenda to upsell features. Michelle Woods was refreshingly different, she wanted to get the best deal she could for us. She must not be on any type of commission incentive! She actively researched possible discounts! With her expertise, intuition, and ingenuity we ended up with an incredible bargain, the kind of deal we will loudly brag about. Thank you, Michelle, for working in our favor. Perfect customer service I found the car on the internet and called to see if it was still there. It was a perfect first impression when the consultant answered my phone call. I asked if there was any way to negotiate the price lower and he stated that the car is priced market competitive. I agreed as I have been looking for this car for a while now. He replied he would not want to loose my sale over a few hundred dollars. I pitched a fair offer back. He promptly called me back with the managers counter offer. We were within $200.00. I asked about more details regarding the out the door price and he returned my calls promptly with the specifics. I never once felt like this was a typical salesman and manager game of volleying back and forth for long periods of time. All communications were prompt and all of my questions were answered completely. Typically purchasing cars are stressful as the customer gets the run around game. The consultant explained the theft prevent fee which was new to me. When we arrived the associate was working with another family but he ran back and forth between us so often that we really were not impacted. The only problem with the transaction was my credit union failed to provide the payment in advance of my arrival. We live over 100 miles away from the dealership. The bank told me to take care of the situation the next day. The consultant offered several alternatives to help me avoid making a return trip which would have netted in over 500 miles between two vehicles. They lets us write a personal check to hold for security until we could get the bank straightened out the next day. It has all worked out perfectly. I can't say enough about what a great experience this was. I hope next time I need to purchase a vehicle I can buy it from Dell Allen at Drivers Choice in Davenport, Iowa. Dell is not a salesman rather he is a solution leader. More
