Misleading and deceptive Sales at KIA Smithtown To get me out of an early lease with Hyundai for a new KIA they assured me that I would have no costs and no worries leaving them my Hyundai for retur To get me out of an early lease with Hyundai for a new KIA they assured me that I would have no costs and no worries leaving them my Hyundai for return. I explained my concern that the Hyundai was not inspected for wear and tear but the assured me the car was clean and that as part of being a Hyundai company that it should be no concern that I might get charged. They held the car for over 30 days before returning it to Hyundai and I revived a Bill for close to $900 for damaged to the wheels from Hyundai. They refuse to take responsibility for the damage or the statements they made that I would not be charged. I also found out from Hyundai the KIA has not been a Hyundai Company for 2 years and Hyundai has only agreed to reduce the damage charges to about $600 based on my complaint. KIA Smithtown rarely returned my calls stalled me for months and then when I spoke to the salesman Justin Matinez he refused to accept responsibility. Strongly advise you stay away from this dealership. Kia Consumer Affairs also could not get this dealership to take accountability. Am still waiting for an answer from them as well. More
The good and the bad I just leased a 2015 Kia Optima from Smithtown Kia and was very pleased with the salesperson (Adam) and the sales manager whom we worked with. The pro I just leased a 2015 Kia Optima from Smithtown Kia and was very pleased with the salesperson (Adam) and the sales manager whom we worked with. The process of buying a car from them wasn't as bad as the other dealerships but there is still a bit of back and forth which I wish can someday be avoided (ala Saturn-pay one price). The overall experience was good, Adam didn't harrass us after we left to shop other cars around and was responsive every time we contacted him. The only negative to speak of was when we went to pick up the vehicle and the Finance Manager tried to play bait and switch. We signed the contract the previous day and agreed upon a price but when we got into his office he tried to jack up the price by $20/month (even pulled the "we are losing money on this car" line). I told him that I would cancel the deal and not pay a nickel more and after he went back and forth a few times (each trying to get me to pay more than we agreed upon) he finally came back with my oriingal deal. This left a bad taste in my mouth as my credit is high tier 1 and they shouldn't do this to customers. Not sure if I would reccomend this dealership based on that which is sad because everything else was pretty good. More

There wasn't a major problem it just took a long time. The dealer told us we would probably be out in about an hour once we got there and it took over four hours. But the dealership and the staff was very friendly and I enjoyed my visit there. More

When I told him I was interested in the Optima, he showed me several different Kia Optima's on the lot and took the time to answer all my questions about the different features in the car. He took me for a test drive and I really liked the car. Stephen was very pleasant and easy to work with and we were able to negotiate a price for the Optima within a relatively short amount of time. I am very happy with my purchase and the overall experience I had a this dealership. More

Great Car & Service I went in the Kia dealership, and was helped right away by Victor J. Mulvey, I went on a test drive and liked the Kia Soul. He showed me all the Ki I went in the Kia dealership, and was helped right away by Victor J. Mulvey, I went on a test drive and liked the Kia Soul. He showed me all the Kia Soul's in stock, and I ended up choosing the car I test drove. Victor took me through the whole deal and sale process. He was honest and helpful. I left that day with a new Kia Soul, satisfied that I bought a great car at a great price, with great service. More

My experience this time was much better than last time ( not that last time was horrible ) . I went in just looking and wound up signing that day and didn't leave feeling pushed and I have no regrets. My salesman was Stephen Giorgio . He is an asset to your company as he made my girlfriend and I feel comfortable, confident, and optimistic about leaving with a new car . It's not easy to find a salesman you feel comfortable sending family and freinds to . We feel we have that now . Thanks ! More
