I live in Brooklyn and I travel to Smithtown because I have complete confidence in what they promise and the work that they do. They keep their word. I recommend them to everyone who wants to lease a car and make sure it is maintained properly! The paper work, less than 20 minutes, because Ivy has it all ready when you walk in the door! I know this review is about my current leasing contract, but I have to comment that the help from Danielle in Service has been such a plus for me. She is the best. More

Tom, danielle and the mechanics that worked on my 2018 Tiguan provided excellent Once again, smithtown VW service department did an outstanding job. Tom, danielle and the mechanics that worked on my 2018 Tiguan provided excellent customer service, and went above and beyond. For example: I went in for an oil change, Tom informed me that the part for the sunroof recall was in. I was excited!unfortunately, I have limited availability due to the fact that I'm a medical professional and a majority of my time is dedicated to the hospital that I work for. So scheduling an additional service appointment would've been difficult, but Tom and Danielle knew that and asked the two mechanics to work on my car together at the same time. I left that day with more than an oil change and I sincerely appreciate the hard work. Thank you guys!! Alaina S. More

Untrustworthy Service Department 2015 Passat wont start. Mechanic states 7 codes 3 related to timing chain. Sales manager suggests car not worth repairing, buy another. Upon meeting w 2015 Passat wont start. Mechanic states 7 codes 3 related to timing chain. Sales manager suggests car not worth repairing, buy another. Upon meeting with sales and service, no one would provide the codes based on the diagnostic tests. I was not afforded the opportunity to make an educated decision to repair the car or just roll into another buy or lease. After insisting on the results of the diagnostics, it was determined they never diagnosed the vehicle after having vehicle for 6 days. Tom Baldassare (GM) insisted car was not worth repairing and Michael DiMaria, became belligerent when pressed for the diagnostic results. The owner happened to be in the office this day and was not sure if Tom Baldassare had oversight in regards to sales, service, or both. He encouraged the handing off of the customer to employees who could not commit to customer service. Tom Baldassare states he was too busy to mitigate complaint, Tom in service provided me 8 minutes to detail issue as they had to leave and Mike DiMaria was confused after an hour of trying to figure out his role. Had car returned home and another dealership better capable of providing service and repair was contacted. More

Very good experience I purchased a used 2016 Jetta from Smithtown VW and couldn't have been happier with the entire process. From the start, Bob was great.
