We were shopping for a crossover on the smaller end of the spectrum (hey, people who like to climb a ladder to get into the cabin... more power to you! but that's not exactly our style), and Jerry understood us quite well. We made a good deal for both sides, and the process went smoothly without much surprise. But what's really significant is how Jerry went well above-and-beyond for us AFTER the sale. When we returned from a long vacation on a Saturday afternoon to a totally dead vehicle battery and couldn't even unlock the doors (service department was already closed), he personally drove to our house, showed how to use the physical key to open the driver's door, jump-started our car, and resolved the anti-theft engine immobilizer. He didn't have to do all that, and we would have been stuck outside our car on a busy weekend. I lithely asked Jerry, "Are you this nice to ALL of your customers?" and he smiled. Snell Buick offers a comfortable, attractive showroom. They were willing to be reasonable with us on price. For example, when some of the complicated add-on packages had some overlaps, the finance specialist showed us how to save a couple hundred of dollars. Working with a sales professional like Jerry who can see from both sides of the transaction and who looks out for both parties' interests makes the difference between a cold, greedy dealership and a friendly, caring local business.
