I purchased my vehicle from Somersworth Nissan on April 14th, 2025. Just two days later, the battery warning light began turning on intermittently. Concerned, I called the dealership—something I was specifically encouraged to do by three different managers during the purchase process should any issues arise. When I reached out, I was connected to the General Manager, Trevor Baker. Unfortunately, my conversation with him was far from helpful. He dismissed my concern, saying, “If it runs OK, it’s not a problem,” and added, “If it’s the battery, we’re not paying for that—you only have the 30-day powertrain replacements.” He even suggested it “could be a dummy light,” further minimizing the issue. I explained that I transport elderly individuals for work, as well as my grandchildren, and expressed my concern about a potential breakdown. I asked if the dealership would cover a tow if something happened. His response was, “Do you have AAA?”—a comment that felt both dismissive and insensitive. I wasn’t asking for a guarantee—just a simple check to ensure there was no serious issue. During the purchase, we were reassured multiple times by management that we could reach out with any concerns. After my interaction with Trevor, it’s clear those promises were hollow. It makes me wonder if I would have been treated differently had my husband made the call instead. Eventually, Trevor scheduled an appointment for the following day. The service department, in contrast, was excellent. They thoroughly inspected the battery, terminals, alternator, and related systems. The service advisor reassured me that I did the right thing by calling and that the vehicle appeared to be in good shape. That said, I will not be returning to Somersworth Nissan for any future service. The way I was treated by Trevor Baker and the apparent disregard for customer care at the management level was unprofessional and disappointing. I expected better. P.S The salesmen are the best! Sharing a very NEGATIVE experience with Somersworth Nissan. We purchased a used vehicle recently and within days had to replace the clutch, costing us $2,000. We told Somersworth Nissan management, and they were dismissive and offered a measly $250 service credit- far from reasonable. We did buy an extended warranty. After not coming to a fair resolution with the management team, we escalated it to the owners. After further conversations we agreed to split the cost 50/50 and to sign a statement stating we wouldn’t talk negatively about our experience publicly, at their request. The owner suddenly backed out of the agreement when we said we were “okay” with this offer vs. saying we were “happy”, and we were told we had a “bad attitude.” A business that refuses to take accountability for selling a faulty vehicle and treats their customers with such disrespect does not deserve anyone’s trust. If you are considering buying a new car from Somersworth Nissan, proceed with extreme caution. More

After going through Nissan the last three leases the people never fail to amaze me how friendly and attentive everyone is any questions, concerns or details i wanted to know were answered immediately. Having a salesman that can joke, and also remain professional makes for a great and enjoyable experience. I’ve stayed loyal to Nissan for my vehicles due to the service, and the people I have spoken and worked with. Anyone looking for a new car I couldn’t recommend Luke enough! He’s amazing. 😊 More

He was wonderfully patient as I took the time I needed to learn about and compare an array of different makes of vehicles at different dealerships. He also answered my many questions since my previous car lacked many modern features. This dealership’s close relationship with the nearby Enterprise Rent-a-Car branch simplified pick up of my new car and return of my rental, eliminating delay and the need for additional logistics. Purchased vehicle had to return to service vehicle 4 times in first month. Sloppy service work and management refused to replace parts that were causing problems. Would not recommend.
