Robert, We understand your frustration, but our recommendation was made to help protect you from a potentially much larger issue. Your vehicle currently has 178,000 miles with no documented history of transmission fluid maintenance, and performing a first-time transmission service at very high mileage can sometimes create or expose transmission concerns. Our goal was not to refuse support, but to be transparent about the risks and avoid putting you in a worse situation. Thank you for your response, Jessica. However, I would like to clarify that this was not a “miscommunication.” I have documented messages clearly confirming a 2026 RAV4 XLE Premium AWD in black, including VIN details, delivery timeline, deal confirmation, and a pre-contract. At no point was I informed that the vehicle would be a different color. Based on those confirmations, I drove from Carlsbad to your dealership expecting to complete the purchase. Only upon arrival was I told the available vehicle was red. When I raised this with management, I was told your team claimed I had been informed otherwise, which directly contradicts the written communication I have. This is not about confusion — it is about accountability and alignment between what is promised and what is delivered. I appreciate the response, but I am still waiting for a clear explanation of how this happened and what actions will be taken to prevent this type of experience for customers in the future.
