I had a horrible experience at this dealership. Cody is the salesman I dealt with and we found a car for me. I explained to him what I was looking for and found it. I expressed to him the need for a car an the salesman I dealt with and we found a car for me. I explained to him what I was looking for and found it. I expressed to him the need for a car and also that I would not unfreeze my credit until I found something for me. We did the application for the car and I was approved with no money down. Spoke with Cody all week touching bases with things to get out there. I let him know I would be there 1st thing Sat and he says ok. He reaches out Sat morning to confirm id be there and something but nothing about the car being sold. Get there he is with a customer. Ask him where the car was, he says oh "the Rogue was sold" So at this moment I am upset. My stepfather was with me and we headed outside to wait as I got myself together. We walked around the dealership wondering how this would be fixed. After some time waiting he calls me and he is like “so you won't have to keep waiting, i'm going to have David help you” and I asked “who he was and did he know what was going on?” Cody said he would let him know and would introduce us. I asked Cody to tell me what's going on because you know I am upset and that I’ve talked to you this morning and you did not mention a word to me about the car being sold. I said to him “Why would you have me come all the way out here for you to screw me over and waste my time?. We discussed and he made a statement about money down and I told him what he should have done was once we found out when I would be able to come in, go ahead and put something down so no one would take it. He is like oh we will get you taken care of and find something else. I stated I did not want anything else because that is what I chose and that he knew how much of a big deal it was about my credit being run. We go into the dealership and he gets David to me and he does not know what was going on. Cody had not told him that he messed up. The guy David is so nonchalant about things and it just made me more upset. He asked if I wanted him to get the manager. I said yes and that I had to step outside for a moment because I was about to get really pissed off. I leave out to walk around a bit and wait. No one comes out to look for me or anything. I go back towards the building and look for David. Here he is coming out the door with some other customers and not saying a word to me like it was nothing. No “Miss I spoke with the manager, he will be with you, or anything” (insulting). So one of the sales guys approaches me and I am like “okay i was working with Cody and he passed me over to David and he never returned”. David overhears and is like “Cody didn't come find you” and I am like “No”. Cody comes over and we talk but at this time I really could care less about him. I expressed my issue with him and how he talked to me that morning and didn’t say anything and then instead of him working to handle his screw up, he passed me along to somebody else who had no clue what was going on. Here comes the Sales Manager Mike Mattingly who asked us to come into his office to see what he could do. I am still upset at this point. He pulls up these used cars on his computer and he tells us a little bit about them and asks to see if he could bring them out for me to view. He DID say they needed to be cleaned and detailed but will show them to us. These cars were a 2016 edge with over 60,000 miles on it and a Equinox with over 50,000, I believe a 2017. I'm sorry there is no way he should have brought out the Equinox for us to look at it. It had DOG HAIR everywhere, it stank and the brake rotors were rusted, it looked horrible. I'm saying to myself did this man really think to bring this car out to me like this?!! What if I was allergic to dogs and had a reaction. He should have been embarrassed, being a salesman, to do that looking that bad. Did I look that desperate? We went in and talked a bit and honestly that was bull! I wouldn't recommend this dealership with that type of treatment! More
Whenever I went to Southtown DCJR, Jai was very helpful in finding the best car for me. Not only did he get me into a fantastic car, the insurance agency there dropped my rate by over 50%. I got pre approved through Capital One. Had a very nice lady Taylor guiding me through. Was ready to buy with a substantial down payment yet no one aka ‘Jeep Specialist’ followed up with me. Ken McConnell is an awesome salesman. He is the only one we use. We met him through the owner who is a dear friend, and he takes amazing care of us and our friends and family with every purchase. This has been the WORST experience trying to get my car fixed under warranty. I have paid for the top extended warranty too. I had my husband call originally to set up the appt for me since I was at work. fixed under warranty. I have paid for the top extended warranty too. When I asked about a rental car (THAT IS INCLUDED IN MY WARRANTY) no one could return our calls. My husband and I left a total of 4 voicemails between rental car people and service manager. When I get there to drop my car off, I had to express how frustrated I was about the rental before I was given one. THEN I get a call the following day letting me know that one thing is covered under warranty and the other is not. I gave permission to ONLY fix the one covered with warranty. I was told I would only pay the deductible of $100. I get a text letting me know my car is ready and I owe $425 that I did not agree to. I will not recommend this dealership to any one after how frustrating this has been. Hannah Borawski More
