Let me start by saying that I do not like writing negative reviews, however the consumer should be warned before purchasing from this dealer. I bought a brand new 2026 Chevy Trax from South Pointe in negative reviews, however the consumer should be warned before purchasing from this dealer. I bought a brand new 2026 Chevy Trax from South Pointe in November of 2025. I have had to put it in the service department now three times due to the engine light coming on - twice for engine/transmission issues and once for emissions. The car is still under 8,500 miles, by the way. My last visit I was told that the engine was losing oil but they could not find the source of the leak. They put more oil in it and sent me on my way, this after sitting in the waiting area for 2 1/2 hours. After speaking with them I was told there was nothing that could be done and that I should check the oil every few weeks because they cannot trace the source of the leak. This is unacceptable on a brand new vehicle that I paid sticker price for. I also left several voicemails for the General Manager which were not returned and had to finally track him down at the dealership to express my concerns. Nothing has been and nothing is going to be done by this dealership to make this "lemon" that they sold me right. Use caution before buying here because I can tell you they do not care about you after the sale. More
I brought my car here to get the oil changed, along with a coupon I'd received in the mail. They got me right in, on a Saturday, honored the coupon, and because they had the part in stock, replaced the reca a coupon I'd received in the mail.
