Vu Li ,has my cell phone number. Vu Li, has my email address. I wrote directly to Vu Li, and he as not responded. My contact information is also on your sales order. No one has tried calling me on my cell or has tried writing to me at my email address. If Vu Li, answers to you at the dealership Mr. Shafer, I would be pleased to speak with you. I was looking for an AWD sedan, that hadn't spent it's life in the North East, with low miles and in like new condition. I had identified three vehicles that I was willing to purchase. One in Austin, one in Dallas, and the one on your lot. Due to a family health issue, my wife is having to spend a few weeks each month in Austin overseeing the care of my mother-in-law. We needed a vehicle. I spent time on the telephone with Vu Li, explaining exactly what I was looking for. He insisted that the car was a solid 8 out of 10 and that the "only" surface marks in the paint or clear coat would have been typical and probably from car washes. Since I'm in Colorado and the vehicle's I identified were in three other cities, I did my homework the best I could and was trusting Vu's opinion of the condition, which he asked me and wrote to me to trust him, that he wouldn't misrepresent the condition of the car. I felt pretty good about booking an airline ticket and than driving the car to Austin. On arrival, the car was not properly detailed, one of the sales guys was cleaning it. On the walk around, there are two dents on the drivers side, one in the door under the mirror, with a large scrape down below clear coat and into the paint, and one on the front fender. On the passenger side door, there are two dents, right at the crease of the two doors meeting. So both the front and back doors are damaged and touched up with regular black paint. This car is a black metallic paint. The touch up paint doesn't match. The front air xxxx is scratched and has lots of road rash. The wheel covers have curb rash. The car also has two computer warnings that the collision warning system is not functioning. The only photo that Vu provided that was accurate to the damage on the car was the surface clear coat scratches on the trunk lid. All of the other photographs are not close up of the damaged areas. I specifically asked for photos to be taken close up of any areas of concern. Vu conveniently avoided close up photos of those areas. Added to the car purchase was two airline tickets, meals, and fuel to get the car to Austin. Not to mention I flew in on a Friday and had to conduct business by cell while on the road. Honestly, it just isn't that hard to be an honest and upright car sales person, manager, dealer. Vu, took advantage of the remote situation. And because he took advantage, I will use all of the available websites and post my negative experience with South Point. If I would have walked away from the purchase, I would have had to fly or rent a car to get to Dallas, or Austin, to acquire one of the other vehicles. The bank check that I brought with me, GOOD FUNDS, was already made out to South Point. I would have been out the $800 and not had a car, and had to rent a car or buy and airline ticket to get to Austin or Dallas or back to Colorado. We will use the car for the next few months until we hopefully don't need it any longer, and than we will sell it, with full disclosure to the next person. It is a low mileage car. It does drive very nice. The car is definitely not a keeper for us and for sure is not at all as represented.
