Dear pscert23, I hope after having been a service customer of ours for three years that you know how important your safety is to us. We ran a complete diagnostic on your airbag light at no charge to you to ensure that your vehicle was completely safe to drive with a passenger in the front seat. Our failure to communicate with you in a timely manner was unacceptable. Watching the customers that were here for an oil change come and go created stress for you since we did not inform you of the extent of what we doing to your Cube. We should have turned off your audio unit while running the diagnostic because I know that it created an assumption that the technician was listening to your music. Often we fold in the mirrors while pulling the vehicle onto a lift so they are not damaged and that may be what you are describing. Again, our error. I apologize, and have made several attempts to contact you. We do care here at Southwest Nissan and wish to resolve your concerns. Sincerely, Lisa Stoker

I have responded to your email with my phone number to call me as the number you have on your records has changed. I do find it hard to believe that the reason for the delay was that you ran a complete diagnostic check, especially after the woman who I believe is the Service Manager flat-out told me the technician had problems resetting the code. That is what I believe is the reason for the lengthy visit. However, when I was there not 2 or 3 months ago for the same air bag light going off when I had to hit my breaks hard (sounds like a faulty system with Nissan), the technician who fixed it that day took less than 10 minutes. I did not even have time to start reading my book. As I said initially, I responded to your message with my new phone number (817-343-6722); please feel free to update your records. I would welcome the opportunity to speak to you. If you call during the week it is possible I might be in a meeting as this is both my work & my personal cell phone. If I do not answer, please leave a message and I will return your call. Thank you.
