Poor experience at this last service on 9/2. My vehicle was dropped off at 10 am for front and rear brake service. After several hours and no update, I called at about 320 pm and was told by o My vehicle was dropped off at 10 am for front and rear brake service. After several hours and no update, I called at about 320 pm and was told by operator that the service desk wasn’t answering and they would send my info for follow up. I never received a call. I arrived in person at about 420 pm as I had to make childcare pickup arrangements by 5 pm. I was told the vehicle was being worked on and should be ready by 530. My vehicle was finally done min before close. I had previously been quoted less than $900 for this service (I have the form) and my total was $900 pretax and $923 including tax. This quote was the reason I moved forward with Kia service after calling around. Once I arrived to my vehicle, the tech left the plastic on the seat and paper on the floor. I was disappointed and frustrated by this experience and didn’t feel valued as a customer, especially one paying such a fee for services rendered. More
This whole mess started as an oil change. I left my info and was told that someone would call me and schedule an appointment. They never called. I called back the next day and got hold of a man who made an appointment and it was set up. I waited for the car and a young woman told me that the car was ready but needed other things . The A.C. compressor clutch was not working and brakes and rotors needed replacing. Total bill..1949.91. I declined the work but took the paperwork home to discuss with my husband. I looked up my warranty and saw that it was still good for the compressor clutch. I called the service department on 8-1 and talked to a man and told him about the warranty. He said he would have someone call me back . That call never happened. I called back at 1:34 and talked to a female about my extended warranty. She said she would have the service manager call me back. That also never happened. My husband and I went to the dealership and talked to Antwan who said that Allysa was doing our paperwork and she would be told to contact us that day. That also never happened. I called the service again . No answer. Later that day Allysa called and said that their was a problem with the warranty company and to bring the car in as a technician had to write up more info on the compressor issue. I dropped off the car and Allysa called very late that day to say that the warranty work would be done and the car would be ready soon. I picked up the car the next day and paid my 250 deduction. Allysa was not at the dealership at that time. In conclusion , it appears that nobody calls customers back and the service department is a mess. I took my car to Big Al's and was told that 4/32 on the brakes was fine but within 6 months they would need to be looked at for possible replacement. My service experience at Southern was bad and I would give it no stars if possible. Between no call backs and having to bring my car back to the dealership, it was just a mess. I bought the car at Southern but will never buy another one there . The service department is very unprofessional except for Antwan. The service manager never even called. That shows me that customer service is not a priority at the dealership. I know that service must be done to keep my extended warranty intact. However, I will not be getting it done at Southern. Unless it is free inspections or free oil changes, I don't want to deal with your service department. More
