Not only did he make sure that my suburban was serviced in the allotted time, he also ensured that I received a military discount and thanked me for my service. He was very professional, and polite, communicated effectively, and was courteous throughout the service process. I always tell my neighbors about the great service, transparency, and integrity received by the service team (Stephen & Calvin). I’m always greeted with a genuine warm welcome and a friendly smile from Stephen and Calvin the second I pull into the service Bay. This is why I drive from Suffolk to Chesapeake past other service departments to Southern. The customer service is unmatched. More

I can only believe that the "free inspections for life" and "multi-point inspection" are vehicles for which to generate additional revenue for the dealership. I did not buy my vehicle here, but thought I w and "multi-point inspection" are vehicles for which to generate additional revenue for the dealership. I did not buy my vehicle here, but thought I would try the new guy on this side of the water. I shared this thought with a friend, also a Southern Automotive Group customer via vehicle purchase several years ago and, ironically, he, too, had his truck fail state inspection for an issue that another shop passed without question. Mine failed for a supposed faulty door electronic switch malfunction. Yet, the inspector was gone for the day when I arrived, I suppose, but the service writer, who was very polite and friendly, and another employee in the service bay each confirmed that it worked for them, just as I, too, confirmed in front of them that it worked. So, what am I to think. Also, I suspect other issues noted on the "free" safety inspection were merely intended to generate revenue. I immediately took the vehicle to another shop, with rejection sticker attached, yet here it passed with no problems and, further, the owner of the shop reviewed the other "concerns" noted by the mechanic and reported that he saw no problem with any item. I appreciated his honesty and will return to have these "early to need" service concerns addressed. So, Southern has lost my business, just as I was going to buy my wife a new vehicle, more than likely a SUV, as a surprise retirement present. So, I suppose I should thank the Service Dept for making me aware, early, of Southern Hospitality. More
