Helpful, fair, straightforward From the start I had heard good things from friends and coworkers about this dealership. I talked to a salesman about a week before my purchase and told him that due to negative equity in my current vehicle I would be about a year out from making any purchases. When I went back with my wife we were looking at grand Cherokees and due to my previous statement we were just looking. We met Troy who allowed us to take a car for a test drive even though we were still a distance out from what we believed would be a good purchase date. After the drive we sat down with Troy and another salesman we told them we loved it but couldn’t afford to add on anymore negative equity. They took a look at our finances, came back with an idea but did not push for the sale. After about two hours we came to a deal that got us into a new Jeep with no negative equity at all. Long story short this is my seventh vehicle purchase and was by far the easiest. I have purchased 6 of those cars at dealerships and again this was by far the best treatment we have received. That being said if the service side holds up the way the sales side has there is a very good possibility that Troy and his team have won over a lifelong ford man. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a low pressure sales environment, with reasonable prices, and people who either know the answer to your questions or find the answer for you! More

Ther Hello, My name is Anthony Gutierrez and I recently purchased a 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn. BLUF: Your customer service after purchase is horrible. There is terrible or no communication between your sales reps and service. I was told 2 days for work to be completed, only to not get my truck until after 1 week, and still not complete. I will give you a timeline of my purchase and service I had done. September 29 - Purchased Oct 1st -Ordered Leather October 16th - Dropped truck off to get Leather and Pro-Pack done October 25 - Received Truck back. Not all complete I purchased my truck late Saturday night(29Sep). I understood that it was late and I wouldn't be able to order the leather until Monday morning. Arrived and put leather on order monday afternoon. Was told it would tale about a week to receive. Original drop off date was October 15th, but after failed attempts to hear back and confirm work from sales rep, I didn't drop off until Tuesday(Oct16). I was told it would take 1 day, 2 days max. I called Wednesday afternoon and was told it was still being worked on. I called Thursday(18th) was told it was still being worked. Friday I drove to dealership to ask about my truck. After my sales rep running around trying to get information on my truck, I am told that my truck was never started and I would have to reschedule the leather install AND the Pro-Pack. I will add that NO ONE could give me a solid update only truck this entire time. There is no tracking system set in place to track where vehicle are after the owner drops it off. I left the truck there and told that it would be started on Tuesday. As nothing had been going to plan, I stopped in on tuesday afternoon to ask about the status. First, I'm told that it was taken the night before and started the following morning but wasn't back yet, I ask about the Pro-pack and they couldn't tell me wether it was completed or not. After I ask to speak to a manager, something I should have done long before, The rep goes into the manager's office, then come out and corrects himself and says it was not taken last night, that it was actually taken TUESDAY AROUND NOON. Knowing that cussing and arguing would not get anything accomplished, I tried to explain my frustration to the manager, only for him to try and give me 2 free gas tank refills and a truck detail. I tried to explain that I didn't want "free" things, but I wanted to know what kind of system they had and why no one could give me an accurate status of my truck. It went in one of his ears and out the other. He said he would personally take over my truck and make sure it was completed. When I asked for a completed date, he said maybe Wednesday late afternoon, but definitely Thursday(25th). I called Thursday (because the manager never called me with an update) around noon and was told that the keys were up front at the desk and that NOW they would start the Pro-Pack and it would take 4 hours. I show up at 4pm to pick up my truck and don't find the sales rep, nor the manager. I finally get my truck ONLY to find out that the Linex bedlinen was never done. SO now I have to reschedule so they can put on the Linex. I feel that once I purchased the truck, all customer service went out the window. Instead of asking what my opinions were, or what I saw as the issue, I get offered free things in an effort to change my mood. I regret referring my friend to Southern, he purchased a Laramie from southern a week after I bought my truck, and will not be referring anymore of my friends to this place. I can hope that future service is fixed and I when the time comes to get my truck serviced, everything will go smooth. I had a $500 lower price for the same truck from Hall dealership, had I known I would experience what I've experienced at Southern I would've gone to hall. Not happy! I have to use this dealership for all service to my car because of location but I am never happy with the service. Here are the reasons why: 1. It takes forever for someone to answer the service line 2. I am often disconnected with and have to call back multiple times 3. People are rude and short on the phone 4. Communication with the service department is difficult because they are too busy to hear my concerns and hurry me along as though I am not important. 5. The work on the car gets done very well, but the customer service is TERRIBLE!!!!! More

After waiting for results for several days from the other dealerships we decided to call Southern. The salesman I spoke with, Cale Spafford, not only found exactly what we were looking for within 15 minutes of my call, but had sent pictures of what he had found and the image of the car's sticker so that we could compare the car's features with our 2014 model. We had asked for a 2018 model, he found a 2019 model with even more features than our 2014 model had. Because we live an hour and a half from Southern Dodge and the car had to come from a distant dealership we picked it up and finalized the sale a few days later. Cale's easy manner and high degree of professionalism in the buying process and level of knowledge of this car allowed us to quickly become comfortable with the new features of the car as well as completing all of the requirements of the purchase process. He also introduced us to other staff (Kati McMenamin, Delivery Coordinator) and Mark Baillio, Business Manager) who performed their respective roles with the same thoroughness we came to realize is the high standard one can expect when dealing with Southern Auto Group. Just a super, super experience. (P.S. Cale even drove us to the rental car company so we could return the rental we had been using since our loss.) More
