Vehicle body work not disclosed! On 7/28/18, I found a gently used 2017 Toyota Corolla on CarGurus at Southwest Kia Rockwall location. An Internet salesperson contacted me after my i On 7/28/18, I found a gently used 2017 Toyota Corolla on CarGurus at Southwest Kia Rockwall location. An Internet salesperson contacted me after my interest was submitted and we talked about various cars currently on lot. Rep informed me that all used car goes through a rigorous inspection process prior to being placed on lot for sale. This news made me feel comfortable about purchasing a used car from them. The original car I expressed interest in was implied to be in excellent condition, but upon looking at it, there were obvious scratches and paint chips that were not disclosed beforehand. However, there was another Toyota Corolla available, which was in better condition and less miles, but about 1k more in price. So, I bought this vehicle. The Carfax report showed no history of accidents or body work repairs, so with the Carfax report and Southwest Kia Rockwell policy of thoroughly inspecting used cars, I felt comfortable about the purchase. However, in coming weeks, some of the paint protection started peeling on the bumper. I took the car to a Toyota Dealership since vehicle still had a manufacturer warranty covering paint. The expert at Toyota who examined my car said it was an aftermarket paint job which voids the warranty. The Toyota contact also found other areas of the car with touch up paint, which was also not disclosed. I made a few attempts to call Southwest Kia-Rockwall and even text/call Nathan, the sale rep I dealt with. My experience of this dealerships customer service is that they mislead people or not disclose items on cars, even with specific questions on condition, just as an attempt to get people in their dealership. Furthermore, I felt mislead by not being disclosed of body work done to vehicle (which is easily be noticed during the inspection process by someone who is/should be an expert on determining mechanical and body damage). I am highly disappointed in this dealership for misleading me and want to make sure if you buy a used car on their lot, its buyer beware!! I would have at least expected a return phone call to try and resolve my issue, but 2 weeks later, still no response. More

You'll need snacks I knew exactly which used non-Kia car I wanted. I talked with someone the day prior and scheduled a come-look-see for the next morning. The salesman, Jeff, got me a water and we chit chatted some. He was a friendly fellow. About an hour and a half later the car was ready for the test drive. We test drove it. He told me about the features of the car and I decided I would like to purchase it. He offered a tracker of sorts, I declined and he moved on. He offered extended warranty, I declined, he moved on. When he tried to print some papers the printer wasn't working and he attempted to ask for help but it seemed the other salesmen couldn't be bothered. That was absolutely annoying to me. Who doesn't help someone with a printer? What happened to teamwork, especially when I've been here for a few hours and haven't seen you doing much of anything. Poor Jeff. Anyway, after a long while the printer worked and I went over to finance. The finance guy was friendly. Got all the necessary paperwork together after some time. It was around 2 by this time. They never offered me any snacks, just water. I am food oriented. I would have been a lot more relaxed and happy if I was offered a snack or a soda. Might have even bought a warranty or tracker but I was hungry and wated to get out of there. Anyway, I left and went to the bank for a cashier's check. During this time they were to detail the car and when I got back I could finish the paperwork and go. I got back, finished my paperwork and waited AGAIN for them to finish detailing the vehicle. The car was cleaned up really nicely. Full tank of gas. They programmed my Bluetooth phone for me. I finally said something about snacks and the salesman bought some snacks with his own money. I mean, seriously, I'm spending $16,000 and they can't spring for some snacks?! (I'm a little bitter.) About 5:15pm I drove off the lot with my new car. I am really hoping that the service plan I purchased doesn't go sour as I have some high hopes for this place. Like, when I come back in for service if it takes a few hours they will give me some snacks. =) Overall a pretty good experience. My salesman was nice. Wish they worked together abit more to help expedite things. Make sure you bring snacks because even if you setup an appointment and bring cash to the table you will be there A GOOD WHILE. More
