I appreciate working with Terry. He does the best he can to get my issues taken care of, and is upfront when challenges occur. Terry is also very respectful and gracious. Very good service. Mike was kind to explain, in person, what services my car needed and what was being done that day, Thank you, Mike, for helping me with this. This place has become an absolute scam. I brought my car in due to a dead TPMS sensor. Upon arrival, after telling them I believed that it was the sensor causing the issue, but not knowing I brought my car in due to a dead TPMS sensor. Upon arrival, after telling them I believed that it was the sensor causing the issue, but not knowing which sensor it was (as each tire has its own), I was told there would be a $170 diagnostic fee. After waiting about an hour, they sent me a text with a new invoice. There was no inspection report or information other than "General concern $437" and "diagnostic fee $170". I talked with the service advisor who then told me two of my sensors were out, and that the diagnostic fee no longer goes towards the repair costs as it had done previously in the past. So to get 2 sensors replaced I was looking at a bill of $607 in total. I called around and found the place next door was able to do it for $65 per sensor and a 6 year garuntee. So I declined the service, and despite getting nothing done, I was still made to pay $197 for the diagnostic fee ($170) and $25 "misc" (when I asked I was told it was a fee for dirty rags and other things on the service floor). I asked what sensors were out, and the guy checking me out couldn't tell me (nor was he going to tell me despite having just paid $200 for such information), had to go back and ask, and then told me the wrong information (when I went to the other place, who took 2 seconds and scanned it for free, told me different from what the Toyota guy had). I want to emphasize that to scan the sensors they simply have to hold up a small device to the tire and it scans it automatically. There is no labor other than crouching down to hold the device next to the tires. So the $200 price tag for literally nothing was absolutely unnecessary and a cash grab. I am a student at MSU, and have brought my car here several times in the past for basic maintenance/specific concerns, everytime in the past the diagnosis fee has either been waved or gone towards the repair costs. I would not recommend anyone go here unless you are looking to burn a hole in your pocket for nothing in return. More
Had our car in for its required maintenance and everyone was courteous and friendly. It did not take long and pictures were taken of the work accomplished.
