I test drove a CTS-V to Sport Chevrolet to test it next to the Z06. The salesman said we would have to schedule an appointment next week if we wanted to test drive the car. Even after I told him we were going to buy either the CTS-V or Corvette he treated us like we were teenagers out for a joy ride. Needless to say, if I pick the Corvette over the CTS-V I will not be buying it through Sport Chevrolet. More

They serviced my Saturn for years and kept it in tip-top shape. More recently (March 2013) I realized the need for a new vehicle. Charlie Eames in Sales was excellent to work with [NO GAMES! {I was so pleasantly surprised!}]...I got a great deal on my trade-in, and a great price on my new Sonic Hatchback LT! This place puts the customer first. When I originally visited the dealership at Sport, I wanted to look at the different models and feel things out. Charlie took the time (I’m picky, I commute 25,000+ miles in a year, and he really took A LOT of time with me) to go through several different vehicles. He explained the pros/cons, and value of each vehicle. We looked at the Equinox, Malibu, Cruze, and Sonic. When I was ready, I took a test drive of the Sport – Loved it! Good pickup, decent on gas, nice sound system, quiet ride, and all at an awesome price with GM incentives and my USAA discount ? The team at Sport worked with me to put together a deal that would work! Lee Shirley (Sales Manager) and Charlie were honest and open. I didn’t feel pressured,: they let the deal speak for itself! And no gimmicks! I would have walked away if they had pushed “under coating” or “paint protection” like some other dealers in the area. Fred Taverner in financing also beat my USAA rate for financing (a whole point under!) – with the term and features that I wanted. Once the paperwork was out of the way, Charlie took the time to go over everything with me. That Chevy MyLink system is something else – it’s like an iPad in your car (Apps and all). The integration with OnStar is pretty cool too - you can start your car from your cell phone. The most enlightening experience was with the spare tire compartment. It has a false bottom, and he showed me how to get to it (Every time I tried I thought I was going to break something.) If you want great service or a great car buying experience, don't even bother with other dealerships in the DC area, there is no comparison. The staff here goes out of their way to provide the best sales and service experience possible. More

At Sport, I encountered knowledgeable and very helpful staff, no high-pressure or shady sales tactics, and none of the condescending attitude I've gotten from some sales staff at other dealerships. Jeff Schultz was very nice to work with, and was concerned that I got the right car for me (when I was waffling between a Civic and a Cruze) and not just with making a sale. I got a fair price for the new Cruze Eco, and also a pretty fair trade-in price for my car. I might, *MIGHT* have been able to save a hundred bucks or so by playing some other Chevy dealerships further afield, but I feel that Sport Chevy more than earned my money. Fred Taverner in the finance office was also very nice, and the entire process went very smoothly. I don't have extensive experience with the Service department, but I recently took my new car there for a recall repair, and that process also went very smoothly and everyone was very nice and helpful. I had a similarly pleasant experience years ago when I took my old (then new) car, purchased elsewhere, to Sport for a recall repair. I 100% recommend Sport Chevrolet. More

I live in Bowie and own a Saturn. Chevrolet, as you know, now services Saturns. My car needed spark plugs replaced, AC checked, and wheels rotated. So naturally I went to the Chevrolet in Bowie. I was quoted a price of over $2,150.00 to fix my car that had a leak in backside of AC compressor and something about pressure possible in switch. Now this is not what I was expecting!! My AC was working fine--just not cold enough. I thought it would need a shot of freon. I asked for the car back and did pay for the rotation of the tires and the inspection. I wanted to stay with Chevrolet so I looked in in another location. Sport Chevrolet was recommeded and off I went with my "broken" car. I want to thank Sport Chevrolet for the honest inspection of my vehicle. There was no leaking dye from the compressor and the pressure was fine!! I walked out of there for under $200!!!! There is a BIG difference amongst the dealerships and I am very glad I recognized this early. I'll be back again! Thank you. L. E. More

Recently, that dealership changed hands and the salesman we loved, retired. So, we started looking locally (we are located in Northern Virginia) and came upon another great salesman and Sport Chevrolet. Randy, our Salesman was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable without being intrusive. He had the truck waiting for us ready to go, even though it was snowing like crazy. Price was very good without the need for haggling (we looked in a 60 mile radius). The process was quick and the financing was better than what I could get through my own bank. They even delivered it to us, so I didn’t have to drive back to P/U with an employee. That is above and beyond what a lot of other dealers will do. Overall, the experience was very good and we will definitely look to Randy and Sport Chevrolet for our next vehicle. More

Someone like me who hates haggling will find Sport Chevrolet a pleasant surprise. The online price quote was prompt but terse (a single dollar figure without details). However, Jared Williams did honor my request not to call (I can't/won't take personal calls at work) and kept in touch via e-mails. I stopped by Wednesday morning on a whim to ask about vehicles that show up in the GM vehicle locator search that had the exact options I wanted. Unfortunately this was Jared's day off but Robert Kramer (Sales Manager) picked it up from there. It turns out that the vehicles were en route from the factory. He offered me preferred pricing on top of the available incentives including the GM Card Top-Off earnings. I could finalize the purchase now or later (no rush other than the 02/01 deadline). He even called GM Card and somehow ended up getting me extra earnings dollars beyond $2k. Then, they appraised my trade-in at between good and fair according to Blue Book. This was better than other dealerships that make up excuses and practically try to rob you blind on the trade-in. I am still smarting from the last time. Needless to say, I did not see the need to haggle and thus decided to go ahead with a purchase order. It was probably the easiest sell for Steve Colman (Sales, easygoing and pleasant) who worked up the purchase order. The vehicle arrived the very next day and Steve contacted me around noon to schedule a pick-up. All in all, the whole experience has been positive. I would put everyone I met at Sport Chevrolet into the decent people category. More

All of the employees we dealt with were extremely friendly and helpful. Mike really answered a lot of questions and was knowledgable about the different vehicles and trims/options offerred. The only reason I gave a 4 on customer service was because we received wrong information on interest rates from Robert who just started a week prior to our visit. The finance employee we dealt with compensated this error and worked with us to get a good interest rate on the vehicle loan. The price of the vehicle was excellent. Our overall experience was given a 4 because of it taking longer due to working with a new employee and getting all the way to signing paperwork and finding out the interest rate we were given was only if our incentives were taken away. In the end, everything worked out, we got a great truck at a great price and were happy to be the 1st sale for Robert. We will use this dealership in the future, probably the near future. More
