Spreen Honda Loma Linda

I found the car I was looking for online at Spreen Honda, so I called them to ask for a quote on a 60 month loan with $3,000 down. They wouldn't quote me a price over the phone and told me I must be there i so I called them to ask for a quote on a 60 month loan with $3,000 down. I thought I'd try to get around that ridiculous requirement by using TrueCar to get a quote on the car. Using TrueCar, I received a quote almost $3,000 off MSRP and proceeded to drive to Loma Linda (2 hours away from my house) to finalize the deal. When I arrived to the dealership, I see that the dealer has added over $6,000 to the MSRP with various packages and security systems. Also, these add-ons to the cost (and huge profit margins for the dealership) were not shown on their website at all, only the base MSRP was listed there. I showed the sales rep the quote from TrueCar and said I'm happy to pay the amount shown there, but I'm not paying the extra $6,000 for stuff I don't want. After conferring with her manager, the sales rep confirmed that they won't honor the TrueCar price and that they won't remove any of the additional items that pushed the price through the roof. I feel that I was tricked into going there when they had no intention of honoring the quote which I received from the third-party website. Do yourself a favor and don't work with dealers who do these shady business practices. More
