I bought a used Toyota 4Runner approximately 1 month ago from Springhill Toyota. It was sold "as is" and I was verbally told that there were no major problems with it when I asked if it had been inspected from Springhill Toyota. It was sold "as is" and I was verbally told that there were no major problems with it when I asked if it had been inspected for any problems. I was told that they wouldn't have put it up for sale if there were any problems and that if it had any, they would have just sold it at auction. We'll, 3 hours after getting it home, I went out for a little "cruise" then noticed the check engine light on. The next day, I had a diagnostic run and it was misfiring in one cylinder and has wheel sensor/ABS problems. I called and the salesman told me that he was sorry to hear that and gave me the number of a mechanic. Uhh...So I bought and replaced the spark plug and ignition coil myself and it seemed to run o.k. after that. I'm a single 58 year old female by the way. There was a lot of oil on the old spark plug, by the way. 3 weeks after driving it off the lot, it overheated. The temperature guage showed in between cold and hot (normal temp). I got it home and it had then started pouring water and coolant from underneath. It has been sitting undriveable for a week. Now a month in, I'm told it' likely has a blown head gasket and will cost approx. $4,000. to repair. Having it towed to a mechanic tomorrow. That doesn't even mention whatever caused it to overheat in the first place. The oil and coolant levels before overheating were indicating full. I feel so betrayed. They should have sold it at auction instead of trying to sell that hunk of junk to an unsuspecting customer. I can't see inside of an engine. The cost of repairs is going to be over half of what I paid for the car. I feel like they knew about the problems but didn't want to put any money into an older model car and made the poor decision to sell it. They screwed me. I will never do business with them again and will tell as many people ai can about my experience with them. Yes, it was sold as is but they didn't tell me about all the problems and actually stated that there weren't any. Bad business. More

Very disappointing. My family discount was denied. Came in for routine service, tires rotated, oil & filter change. Also notified my car engine made a screeching noise My family discount was denied. Came in for routine service, tires rotated, oil & filter change. Also notified my car engine made a screeching noise when first turned on, which subsides when I reach about 35 mph. To my knowledge, this indicates a loose belt. The trained mechanics should know this. But when the service manager called me back, he had sent my car for a diagnostic check. I was shocked at the recommendations. First he told me he thought it was in the steering mechanism. But listed on my receipt: Recommendations for replacement of POWER STEERING PUMP -$1067.97, RACK& PINION- $1953.34, ONE DRIVE SHAFT SLING GREASE -$1589.87. FOR GRAND TOTAL = $4611.18 Almost the total value of my 2008 Solara Convertible. This is not the Springhill Toyota I have known for the last 20 years. More
Tina Jackson at Springhill Toyota answered my questions on their internet site. She followed up with price information and my wife met Tina to have our car evaluated for trade-in value. We were happy wi on their internet site. She followed up with price information and my wife met Tina to have our car evaluated for trade-in value. We were happy with the numbers and Springhill personnel were able to close the sale that same day. Thanks to the teamwork of Tina and the dealership, our time was not wasted. We love our new Grand Highlander Limited. Very positive buying experience. More
I had a good visit to Springhill last week, and Cory was the main reason. For the first time in a few visits, someone finally listened to my concerns - twice. Seems all issues have been addressed, but I h the main reason. For the first time in a few visits, someone finally listened to my concerns - twice. Seems all issues have been addressed, but I haven’t had the opportunity to test two of them. We’ll see. But as for customer service, Springhill would do well to have more reps like Cory - thanks. More
