xx. Cloud Subaru is a very professional business. I was checked in immediately upon arrival and offered a loaner car if needed. The alignment was done within an hour like they told me it would. My 23 Outback was recently in for routine maintenance and two warranty issues. Routine maintenance was fine. Warranty issue one was passenger seat cooling fan malfunction- after running continuously fo two warranty issues. Routine maintenance was fine. Warranty issue one was passenger seat cooling fan malfunction- after running continuously for 30–60 -90 minutes on long drives the fan would go from whisper quiet to a grinding sound like a piece of wood being cut by a power saw. I was informed the fan was replaced but the replacement buzzes annoyingly. All one would have to do to understand this is to compare the driver seat fan, whisper quiet, to the passenger seat fan which is loud. Either the parts used are defective or the installation was improper. Very disappointing. Warranty issue two is a longstanding problem dating to the winter of 23-24, when the suspension would groan and squeak when traveling over uneven surfaces, I.e., driveway entrances and exits, breaks or uneven seams in pavement, potholes , speed humps, etc. At first, it was just the rear suspension, but over time it has affected all four wheels. I told the service advisor when I checked in the vehicle for this visit that the groaning squeaks happened when I entered the dealership driveway and all the way to the service bay. Yet nobody claims to hear anything. Suddenly I was told the tires were “cupped badly and recommended replacement”. Why now? This vehicle has been brought to dealer service for tire rotations every 6000 miles since new. The noise has been going on for almost two years and now the tires are bad? I’ve concluded that no one takes this seriously . I took my vehicle to a trusted local tire dealer who services my non-Subaru vehicle, who said he’d never heard of what I had been told. The alignment of all four wheels was corrected and I was told I could continue to drive on the tires if I wanted, since only part of the tires was affected. Since I want to get to the bottom of this, I spent over $1200 for new tires and alignment. I need to drive the vehicle extensively to determine whether or not the noise is gone. If not, I will escalate this matter to Subaru corporate. In the meantime, my oil changes and tire rotations will be performed by my trusted local shop. More
