The service work itself is fine. I've been going to this place for service (we bought the car there) for years, but the business processes have declined. 1) I booked the service res I've been going to this place for service (we bought the car there) for years, but the business processes have declined. 1) I booked the service reservation for 7:30 in the morning to check the "check engine' light and to get an inspection. I specified on the reservation menu that I would wait for the car in case nothing was really wrong. 2) I checked in on time. About two hours later the service rep told me that, because they had to investigate the 'check engine' light, they couldn't do the inspection...okay, fine. But then he told me that the car hadn't even been looked at yet...even though I was the second person into service that morning. He said that getting there early doesn't mean you will be seen sooner--it is up to the job dispatcher. So what's the point of asking people if they will wait if the dispatcher doesn't take that into consideration? 3) So about 11am (3 1/2 hours after my arrival) they tell me what's wrong and it will be about 5 hours work. Okay, that happens, and waiting that long doesn't make sense, so I take mass transit home and will return the next day. 4) The shop didn't call me to tell me the car was ready; I had to call to find out it was ready. Okay, that happens, too sometimes. I trek back to the shop (about 90 minutes via mass transit). 5) It's a big bill...about $1500; the service rep does do the right thing by me in terms of applying a discount coupon I had. 6) The final bite in the butt was this...I went to pay the bill with the passive-aggressive clerk who has been there for years (maybe it's not the same person, but then they seem to hire people with the same passive-aggressive personality). After I pay I notice that there is a note way high up in the upper left corner of the window that there is a 3.5% fee for using credit cards. I asked if that was new...Ms. Congeniality said that they had implemented it on January 1, 2022. This fee wasn't stated anyway on the bill I received, there was not notice I received from Star (again, I have been going to them for 11 years), the service rep didn't tell me, and she didn't tell me when I handed her the credit card...and like I said, it was posted way high up instead of right at opening where the documents and cards get sent back and forth and signed; I only noticed it after the entire transaction was done. At this point I was do done with the place that I just left, although I probably should have made her reverse the charge and use a debit card. Again, my experience is that the mechanics tend to do good work. I don't know if there is new management, but the client-interface side of the business needs a bit of tightening up. More

Completely dissatisfied. Poor customer service and experience terrible! Beware of this location. Do not go. Took my car in for service and told one thing was the problem and almost 2 weeks later I received my car back after receiving an Astronomical bill for things that insurance stated weren’t necessary. But once your vehicle is hostage in the service department you have to pay up to get it back. More
