Mrs. Patricia Ealy, Thank you for the opportunity to not only to share this experience online, but to educate others. I will address your concerns point by point, since this car was bought 2 MONTHS AGO: 1. New car vs. Pre-owned, it seems that the requirements set by the lenders for you to buy a new car could not be met, hence we worked to get you into a pre-owned car. 2.The vehicle had no issues at all upon delivery of same. 3.Down payment: The card numbers you provided proved to be invalid, hence it took us well beyond the agreed upon time to collect monies from you as you promised. In at least one case, the card had been canceled. 4. You were provided with a carfax upon delivery. 5. Tag: We have no control as to how long it takes the state of Georgia to issue a tag. On the average it is 3-4 weeks, though I have personally seen it take longer. The temporary tag has a date on it generated by the state of Georgia, which is about 30 days. This all seems to of arisen because you want us to give you a new windshield and set of tires, months after you had purchased the car and that request was refused. For good reason, because at some point you have to accept responsibility and ownership of your car, and that included maintenance. Folks, the lessons here are many: 1. Carfaxes are available free upon demand from Steve Rayman Chevrolet. We've never had a problem printing out a Carfax for anyone's inspection. 2. Maintenance reports, if the car is a GM vehicle that has been serviced at participating GM Service Center, then a service record can be produced. Unfortunately, very few car are received with service records, but, we can perform a used vehicle inspection upon demand. 3.If you do not receive your tag within 3 WEEKS contact your local county tag office to check on its progress. In most cases, its on a shelf waiting to be mailed. 4. The police will stop you if your car does not have a temporary plate on it, that is true, but, peace officers are well aware that temporary tags do tend to disappear and so long as you have your paperwork with will, there are no problems. 5. No one can expect a dealership to maintain or repair a vehicle months after purchase at the dealership's expense, i.e. windshield, tires. From the moment you drive off, you are a owner, and all of the responsibilities of being a owner fall upon you. Thank you again for your input. Ray Whitlow Steve Rayman Chevrolet

Sir, you were told that not only that the car on the last day in question was to be ready at 9AM, but that others were interested in the car as well. I reviewed the messages that you had sent, and you had a confirmed 2PM appt with your Sales Professional. Unknown to him, someone else came in and bought the car. We, nor any other dealership that I have worked for in the past 20 years "holds" a car. Folks, its always been first come, first served, especially when it come to pre-owned vehicles. For lack of a better word, snooze you lose. Thanks for your input.

Ray Whitlow obviously did not care to inform himself of the facts. I, in fact, wasn't "snoozing". I was the one that continually followed up for 2 full weeks with the Rayman Chevrolet team and three separate times traveled from across town to make a deal. What a disrespectful, unprofessional response. I must add Ray Whitlow to the list of Rayman Chevrolet staff members who have exhibited unprofessional behavior and lack of regard for their customers.

Sir I was there, with others that evening, when you used profanity out loud in front of our guests and children. Arthur was correct at that point to ask you to leave. Folks, we do all that we can to help folks with challenges, challenges that were not our creation, but if in your frustration with your situation you decide to shout foul language towards our staff, or in front of our guests and children, we will ask you to leave, just as any business would.

I don't understand what you mean by "servicemen couldn't do their job."? There exists no way that I know of to determine in advance if a battery is going to implode, which is something I have never heard of. Feel free to email with your full name and the vin number and I will check into it. rwhitlow@steveraymanauto.com

Steve Rayman Chevrolet responded

The connectivity issue with some of the Equinox is not our fault at all. GM has been made aware of connectivity issues, but that is the most we can do. What some folks have been experiencing, through no fault of this dealership, is on the older generation MYLINK infotainment systems featured on the Equinox, namely, after phone call, radio sometimes does not return to original entertainment source, I.e. Radio, xm,Bluetooth, etc When going through the diagnostics tests, everything is good and operating according to factory specs. A bulletin came out noting comparability issues with Apple's iOS, again, it is something well beyond this dealership's control. It is a issue that Apple is working to resolve. We have observed no such issues on the newer generation mylink infotainment systems at all, of which are to be featured in the upcoming 2017 model Equinox's. Have a great day
