We had a great experience when we purchased our used Rav4 Toyota from Dazz Thornton. He was friendly, personable, and seemed to really care that we were informed about our purchase. Very upset about our experience with Logan. When we went to do all the paper work, he tried to slip extra warranties and costs into the price of our car without us noticing, or even asking us first. When I asked him if we had to pay extra for the warranty he lied and said no. Later on I brought up the cost again, and he tried to slide around it and make it seem like we did not have to pay for it. Finally when the costs did not add up and I asked him again, he admitted that the warranty was an extra charge and it was being added onto our loan adding an additional $2,400!! I had him remove the warranty charge from the loan. We never said that we wanted a warranty, and he never asked if we would like to put an extra $2,400 on a loan for one. It was very shady. I would suggest you ask someone before you start charging them for something, especially when it is over $2,000!! Besides this, our experience with Steven Toyota was great. Everyone else was very helpful and friendly to work with. More

We came in to look at a PIP because we understood there were still sales going on. Even though we'd asked NMichelle Duenas specifically for a sales person who really knew the PIP, we were given Mr. Thornt were still sales going on. Just as with other salesmen we'd talked to before, he was not too knowledgeable in the areas we were concerned about but diligently sought answers and was a helpful and honest and straightforward as you'd ever want a car salesman to be. When we realized that there really were no 2012's available anywhere close to Harrisonburg, and that our driving habits really didn't warrant paying the added cost without sale price anyway, we began seriously looking at Prius 2 as well. Things went well at this point as we are familiar with the basic Prius and figured we could learn anything new with the manual and DVD. The sales manager Carey Knicely gave us a good price on a new Prius 2 and we signed a contract. Only annoying part was having to sit through the long spiel about the extra warranty from a fourth person that we'd already told Dazz and Carey we did not want. When somebody selling car warranties--or anything--says he never reads Consumer Reports, you really have to wonder. More

DJ was wonderful! I went in there with something in mind but unfortunately it was being sold at that time. DJ was accommodating and patient and he was not pushy.
