My research led me to believe that the Toyota Prius would be the best vehicle for me and my wife in our senior years. As such--and being relatively new to the Harrisonburg region--I contacted several dealer be the best vehicle for me and my wife in our senior years. As such--and being relatively new to the Harrisonburg region--I contacted several dealerships, buying services and acquaintenances/friends to determine who would be best qualified to provide our personal and financial needs. Three dealerships emerged as "best suited" to meet and master that task. After extensive communications, and receipt of various sales proposals, I chose Steven Toyota of Harrisonburg. The final decision to purchase was made through our association with Mr. Jim Mason...whose professionalism, dedication to support and no-pressure sales service was absolutely superior! Being a career naval officer provided me with the opportunity (and necessity) to deal with numerous automobile dealerships and sales representatives...from east to west coasts and between. Over those several decades, I have NEVER dealt with a more friendly, considerate, patient and professional salesman and/or agency! There just isn't a better group of professionals anywhere in the automotive business! My wife of 56 years and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to meet Mr. Mason and his associates/team! My wife and I are repeat customers of Steven Toyota. This day in particular, I had brought my Highlander in for routine service. I went up to the new car showroom to get a cup of the single brew coffee. When day in particular, I had brought my Highlander in for routine service. I went up to the new car showroom to get a cup of the single brew coffee. When I entered the showroom, two salesmen greeted me. The response from myself was cordial, and I continued to the coffee brew, made a cup of coffee and made myself at home, as I do feel "at home" there. My wife and I had talked briefly at home "once" about maybe looking into the purchase of a vehicle that was more economical. As I was sipping on my coffee, I saw Tyler Simmons walk out onto the showroom floor. My eye caught his and I motioned him over to talk a bit. I already knew he was a no pressure salesman. As the conversation continued I brought up the idea of further information on the Prius. Tyler shared some pertinent vehicle information. We walked out onto the lot to look at a few of the features of the Prius, drove one for a test drive. When we returned from the test drive, Tyler and his sales department jotted down a few figures. I was near to excuse myself and carry out the routine of the day when it was suggested by Tyler that perhaps I would be interested to drive one home and get the real feel of it. I left to visit my wife's workplace and to share part of the education for the day. Angela was interested in bringing a new car back to the house. I already knew that Tyler would not be there due to a commitment in his family but pre arrangements were such as I would only need to come back and ask to take one home. I arrived back at the dealership, things were prepared to to drive a Prius to New Market. The next day we brought the vehicle back as preplanned, and a purchase was made. The service department has been exceptional on every visit previous. My wife's and my experience at this dealership has been superb. You owe it to yourselves to visit Tyler at Stevens Toyota. More
