I had narrowed my search down to a Toyota at your dealership, and a Hyundai Sonata at Harrisonburg Hyundai. I really liked some of the qualities of the Sonata even better than the Camry, and the pri dealership, and a Hyundai Sonata at Harrisonburg Hyundai. I really liked some of the qualities of the Sonata even better than the Camry, and the price was much better. But because of the professionalism and product knowledge of my sales agent, Jim Mason, and the friendliness and customer service of the entire staff; I made a decision to buy from your dealership. Jim went out of his way to make this decision as easy as possible; he answered every question I asked and investigated other options for me. I had intended to purchase a used car, but after he demonstrated some of the newer features of the 2012 Camry, I felt that the newer model was a better fit for me. Jim worked around my schedule and even offered to come in to work on his day off to accommodate me. I told him at the paper signing that I was buying this car because of him and the services at Steven Toyota. I have been back into the dealership twice since I bought the car, and have been treated just as if I was a potential client each time. I would recommend Jim and Steven Toyota to anyone that I know is looking for a car; in fact, I have told several of my friends already. I look forward to working with you in the future. We were looking for a Certified Used car, had been to most dealerships in Harrisonburg. When we went to Steven Toyota, Tyler showed us their inventory. My wife and I were looking to buy a Prius and stopped by Steven Toyota to look at what they had on hand. I was interested in the new Prius V five. They had one expected in about three weeks. I indicated that I was considering going through a buying service. I had also had dialogue with Peter Torres with some follow up questions while visiting their website. The buying service put me in contact with Bill Page in Fairfax and I began negotiations with their internet salesman. They could get me pretty much whatever I wanted. I got an out the door price quote that included all costs to compare. I brought this price back to Steven and was able to negotiate a compareable deal. Since moving back to the Valley from Northern VA, I prefer to keep my business local. Once the V five arrived, my wife an I test drove and ultimately purchased. Josh even assisted us in setting up our cell phones in the car for the hands free capablities before we left the dealership. Josh was a quick learner on this new vehicle line and researched any questions he could not answer. The whole buying experience was stress free. The V-Spec provided defined all items on the vehicle so there was no surprizes. Of course there was an attempt to sell the usual add-ons but were declined on our part without judgement. Going in with an out the door price prenegotiated was great. Save time of haggling. More
On Friday October 7th 2011, I purchased a 2006 Toyota Tacoma for $xx,xxx.04. When I test drove the vehicle on Wednesday October 5th the vehicle was in the shop, presumably for cleaning and such. At that time, there were no floor mats in the vehicle. On the day of the sale, after finishing all the paper work, I went out to the truck to drive it home and found that the truck still had not mats. I went back in and asked if they had been forgotten, at which time I was informed that it had no mats. For the sale price above, I would expect mats to be a standard, not an option. At the very minimum, I would have expected some transparency on the part of the sales staff to let me know that it needed mats prior to the sale, not after. The salesman asked if I wanted him to price out mats. At this point, I was angry and bitter and already had buyers remorse, and was considering voiding the check. There was an opportunity here, for the sales staff to make a customer for life; instead, for the price of some mats, they have lost a customer for life. Upon getting the vehicle home, I found that a rear tire had a huge gash in the sidewall, which was over looked when it was inspected at the service center. So I had two new tires put on. My wife is due for a new car in a few years and we have been looking at Toyotas, but I will never buy another thing from this dealership again. This transaction has only reinforced the perception that dealerships are out to take your money, at any cost. More
Service manager is abrasive and confrontational. Service department tries to sell additional service to you on every visit. This started when my vehicle had approximately 35,000 miles on it. They first said my brake fluid was discolored(suprisingly this was not mentioned on subsequent visits), followed by them saying my power steering fluid was dirty, then my differential fluid needed changing and on my last visit that my transmission fluid is discolored. My vehicle currently has 46,000 miles on it!! I got a new water pump on my last visit because they said I had a leak. After my last visit when they performed service I got a required maintenance light within 500 miles. They won't fix this nor will they address any issues that may arise from repairs they have made. They react in a vindictive way to complaints. More
