Patti, If the vehicle is CPO, it would be registered in the GM VIS regardless it is honoured in Canada or not, but GM don’t have the record. I know dealers would pay for the CPO until the car is sold, that’s why I’ve asked Fred to take the $1000 dealer cost off the list price because I’ve heard CPO is not honoured in Canada. However Fred and the sales manager Mike assured me CPO is already done, they have send me the CPO inspection check list, and some GM material to assure me the extended warranty is honoured in Canada. I was convince and paid full price. Now that we know the vehicle was not CPO, I would like to have the $1000 refunded, or you can give me a 12 month 12 thousand miles 0 deductible extended warrant that is honoured in Canada, this option costs you less, and I don’t mind to lose the CPO maintenance plan. Dear Stephan, The vehicle did qualify as a CPO unit; however, I understand that the dealership waits to pay the CPO fee until it is sold in case it is a vehicle that may be sent to auction. When the dealership tried to certify it, it was rejected due to your Canadian address. The CPO fee that we would have paid is $369 which you are due. I've been told that we cannot obtain a GM 12/12 warranty for you here in the US. You will have to purchase the warranty at a dealership in Canada. If there is a Chevrolet dealership near you that you want to use, please send me the dealership information and we will contact them on your behalf to see if we can send them your refund to get you set up with a 12/12 warranty. Hi Patti, Thanks for the follow up, appreciate your eagerness in seeking for a resolution; however I’m not willing to settle for $369. Stevinson should deliver what was agreed and assured to me, I don’t mind losing the 2 year/30,000 mile CPO maintenance plan, but I expect to have an equivalent extended warranty as a minimum. Hi Stephen, Our Finance Director contacted the Richmond Hill dealership and they can provide you a 12 month/12,000 mile $0 deductible warranty. I apologize we did not contact you first but we were doing our homework and needed to give the dealership a call. Our cost would be $977 Canadian dollars and we will be willing to send that amount directly to you to resolve this issue. The Canadian dollar and the US dollar are close in value (the US dollar today trades at $.97 to the Canadian dollar). The finance contact at the dealership is Pete. I would like for you to give the dealership a call and make sure we are all on the same page. Hi Patricia, I’ve contacted Peter from Wilson Niblett, he told me the cost of the extended warranty is $977 plus tax, the coverage is 12 month/12000 miles, but with a $100 deductable, not $0 as he discussed with you. Stephen
