James is very knowledgeable and always informs me on what is needed without over selling unnecessarily. He is the portrait of excellence and consistency without exception, every time. I have always found Stevinson to be one of the best car dealers. I have purchased two cars from this group and will return again when the time comes to purchase another. I recently purchased some parts for my Tacoma and was very pleased with the friendly help I received from Mark Teasley in their parts department. He made an extra effort to see I got exactly what I needed for the best price possible. More
I showed interest in a used Hyundai Sante Fe though an internet inquiry. Tony was consistently checking in with me after that contact, which for some people might have seemed anoying, but in my case I fe internet inquiry. Tony work for us an help to get us into the vehicle we wanted. The finace group did a great job getting the financing we were looking for at the monthly payment we wanted to pay. Shopping for cars is one of my least favorite things to do. It should be a rewarding time to finely be able to buy something new, but my experiences over the years has left a sour taste in my mouth. I can honestly say after buying this car at Stevenson Toyota West and working mainly with Don Rollins it has erased that impression from my mind. Don was very gracious, warm, friendly and experienced in the auto trade industry. He never pressured me at any time during the process to purchase a car. He recommended my test drive up I-70 so I could check out the exceleration and passng power I would need living in Colorado. The Camry came through like a shining star, being only a 4 cylinder engine, I was impressed. Don handled the negotiations with expertise, including the carfax report, all service information the previous owner had, with NO PRESSURE! I will recommend Stevenson Toyota West to my friends and family, but especially to look up Don Rollins who deserves most of the credit. I liked the friendly salesmen. They were accomodating yet did not try to push a deal on me. They were very understanding with the whole process. If I had to give any advice/constructive criticism, I would say Stevinson Toyota employees could use more phrases like "we understand", "we are here to help you", "we can help you find the cheapest deal". Please don't let me be misunderstood, some of these phrases were used with different vernacular, however, more accomodating/encouraging elocution would create a more servicable ambiance. The experience started off very well a Stevinson Toyota, but unfortunately that is where it ended. We started to work with Jason on a Friday night looking at a used Chevy Suburban. I inquired about the pric but unfortunately that is where it ended. We started to work with Jason on a Friday night looking at a used Chevy Suburban. I inquired about the price of the vehicle and Jason let me know that is was already reduced as far as it could be and that he would only receive a $100 commission and credit for selling the vehicle. When we arrived on Saturday with an appointment Jason was busy, this is understandable but we were told it would only be a few minutes and then he would be with us. He attemped to get things started and got us an loan application and took our licenses and insurance so we could take the vehicle for a test drive. We also talked about getting a quote on our trade-in. After more than 2 hours he came to us and said he couldn't work with us bc we were already working with a different sales person. This seemed really strange to me since I am from Fort Collins and not Denver I had never been to this dealership before. We were handed over to Doriene Howe. Doriene had not been involved with us in any way so we had to start the entire process over with her. She didn't even know what car we were looking at and attempted to get us the wrong vehicle before we stopped her and pointed her in the right direction. She then asked for our licenses to run them to see if we could take the car for a test drive. We were told we could drive the vehicle ourselves but Doriene insisted on going with us. This is when I asked to speak with a sales manager and let him know what the problem was, he let me know that he was very sorry and he would take care of everything. He did nothing. He never even talked to Doriene because she was with us the rest of the day. After the test drive we needed to get the kids to the rest room and get a snack which took us a little while ~25 min during this time Doriene stood in the middle of the showroom just watching and waiting for us, then when we were ready to discuss things again Doriene took us to her office and then said I have a few things I need to take care of and was gone for over an half an hour. This clearly could have been taken care of while we were busy. Then she asks us if we have a trade-in, I responded yes and we are just waiting for the estimate. The estimate never took place and it took an additional hour to get. When all is said and done and we had been at the dealership for 7.5 hours and had purchased the vehicle Doriene couldn't find the keys! I am pretty sure she never did because we only received 1 regular key for the vehicle which is a 2006 and obviously has keyless entry. This was all done with Doriene being very rude to us and even at one point said "oh honey you won't understand our sales system so don't try". Thene a couple of days later I get a message from the finance manager and he says that I need to get to Denver that night to sign finanace docs. We had already finalized the loan at the dealership the day we bought the car. So I tried to reach the finance person but couldn't so I called Doriene. She told me that what happened was Toyota financial doesn't loan money for non Toyota vehicles. When the finance manager called me back I got a different story and they quickly figured out a way to meet me in Fort Collins. I was blatantly lied to Doriene or the finance manager. Overall I believe I was lied to 4 times and possibly more that I don't even know about. This dealer is shady at the best. More
I was happy with the car expterience. Though tyay were always trying to get more money from me. The sales person had average knowledge of the product. We came into Stevinsons to look at trading up our 2008 Prius for 2011. Jack Ridley the sales person that spoke to on the phone was busy and we were turned over to Don Rollins. He told us that he was new in this position but would be glad to work with us. He was very friendly and helpful. Since we had not done our homework before coming into the dealership, we told Don that we did not want to take any more of his time until we did our homework. A couple days later, we phoned back in to speak with Don but he had left for the day. We spoke with Mike Myers and came to agreement on our trade value. From there on we worked with Don. He returned our calls ASAP, answered our questions, and handles the sale like a pro. Enjoyed our experience with Don. Rick Warren and Helen Barker More
