Secured a deal verbally. .over the phone (via an ad on Car Guru).& about a 4-5 hr discussions w a salesman on Friday … backed with what I thought was a Credit Card amount of $ .over the phone (via an ad on Car Guru).& about a 4-5 hr discussions w a salesman on Friday … backed with what I thought was a Credit Card amount of $500 to hold the vehicle over the Memorial Holiday weekend..until I could wire them the balance next week when my Credit Union reopened…the salesman apparently failed to record my Credit card..even with Gen Mgr approval..I called this am (Sat)..to further make sure all a-ok…got a text @ about 10 am..apologizing saying that someone else had already put a deposit down (a local)..& he apparently had “dons” over my agreement…was even told by the Gen Mgr. that I was an extreme risk -(being an Internet sale)..& he was sure I understood!!!..We’ll it was an all cash offer @ their listed price-($11,000)-but to no avail..I was washed over for a “local” buyer….& I basically had no recourse on my offer ..deposit..or sale..& what a crappy way to do business!!..I deem it as disrespectful…deceitful…and a disgusting way to do business-period!…Oh wait..sorry I any talking about the “ Car Business”…Notorious for being unscrupulous anyway!!…my advice: BUYER BEWARE!!..especially if you are from “out of town”..or an unsuspecting Internet buyer…thaw apparently ha e too ma y ways to SCREW YOU…if they so choose!…DONT WASTE YOIR TIME WITH THE “STOCKER BRAND”.. Chances are it’ll come back to bite you when you least expect it!! More
Transmission went in my vehicle. Stocker wanted to charge me excessive fees above and beyond my extended warranty. $500 fee for "handling the transmission when it got delivered", " Stocker wanted to charge me excessive fees above and beyond my extended warranty. $500 fee for "handling the transmission when it got delivered", "credit card fee because warranty company was paying them by credit card", and additional fees for labor. all totaling in excess of $2300. Ultimately I had the vehicle towed back home to the chevy dealer i bought the car from. Stocker service staff were nice, but I simply could not accept all the extra billings. Had they simply honored my warranty (like my dealer) they would have got the job and made $$$ in the long run. Stocker- suggest you reconsider your policy on fees! More
My wife bought her 2017 GMC terrain at Stocker about 2 years ago. When she brought it home I could hear the tick of an exhaust manifold leak. We ignored it and she drove the car. Coming up on our first fr years ago. When she brought it home I could hear the tick of an exhaust manifold leak. We ignored it and she drove the car. Coming up on our first free inspection I did a little research and found that cracked manifolds are a common problem on the GM 2.4 Ecotec, it had gotten a little worse so I purchased the part in anticipation that they would fail the inspection, but to our surprise they passed it. She continued to drive the car and I finally got tired of the leak and replaced the exhaust manifold 3500 miles ago. Yesterday, she took the vehicle back for the second free inspection. I am retired Army and a mechanic by trade and I went over the vehicle before she took it in. They failed the vehicle and tried telling her that it had a cracked exhaust manifold and it would cost almost $2000 to fix it. They said it was "loud and visible" but they "couldn't show it to her without taking a bunch of stuff off". My wife is a smart woman immediately called xx and told them she would have me fix it. Then watched the guy go back to his desk and eat a sandwich for 30 minutes before he stapled her paperwork and picked up her key and brought it back. When she got home I crawled all over and under the vehicle listening for an exhaust leak and heard and saw nothing. I checked it hot and cold, under load and at idle and there was nothing. I took it to my local Chevy garage and asked them to find an exhaust leak, both a service manager and a mechanic looked and listened for 15 minutes and found nothing. I then took it to an old mechanic friend who has been doing mechanic work for 55 years and grew up, went to school with and was neighbors with Gene Stocker growing up. He had me block the tailpipe to force a leak while he inspected for a leak. Pressure built and the engine almost died, still Nothing! I called and demanded to talk to a service manager, I got Matt who is a bit of a cupcake, he was very sassy defensive and full of attitude, at one point I got frustrated and said "don't give me your F#^$ing attitude" and he hung up on me. I called back and talked to Cory Stocker the GM, he was actually cool and apologetic. I explained the situation and that my wife felt she was being taken advantage of because she is a woman. He assured me they would never do that and asked that I bring the car in an inspect it with Matt and the mechanic and him. He left me with little doubt that he would try to make it right. Unfortunately at this point my wife is DONE! She feels like she was taken advantage of and told me that she has no interest in either of us going back there. Today I will be taking it to a reputable shop and ask him to do an all out inspection, I am going to tell him if he can gig it, then fail it. If it passes that will seal the deal for me and my family friends and I will never return to stocker. Update: I took it to another shop and asked him to try to fail the vehicle, I showed him the paperwork from Stocker and had him do an in depth inspection. He couldn't find any reason why the vehicle would fail. I asked him to try to find a exhaust leak and he couldn't. This confirms my suspicions that my wife avoided being another victim of a dishonest dealer service department More

The dealership had taken over for Sutliff Cadillac. I took my 2016 Cadillac Escalade in for a first-year service and inspection. I had purchased it only 1 year prior to the dealership closing. I told t took my 2016 Cadillac Escalade in for a first-year service and inspection. I had purchased it only 1 year prior to the dealership closing. I told them there was a vibration in the front end, the wheel barring was just replaced shortly after we bought it. I had just replaced the tires(wheel barring chewed them up) and put in a new battery. So much for the certified pre-owned warranty. In the first year of ownership, I had already shelled out over 1K. We get a call from them, there is $4k worth of repairs needed to pass inspection. As you can imagine, I was less than happy. I couldn't imagine that it could've passed a 172pt inspection just months before. They were less than helpful. I told them I would take it to another service station for a second opinion. When took it to get inspected, I asked them to double-check all the exact things I was told were wrong with it. Come to find out I only needed rear brakes. My bill was less than $100. I would not take any vehicle there to be serviced. I do not trust them. They do not have your best interest, they are only there to rip you off. More
just bought A Chevy Z71 RST from Stockers. My sales person (Darrick Brown) was very nice! After the sale Derrick took me out to my new truck and went over everything with me. Everyone seemed very nice person (Darrick Brown) was very nice! After the sale Derrick took me out to my new truck and went over everything with me. Everyone seemed very nice to me. This is my 2nd. Truck I bought from Stockers. Only thing spending that much money for A truck.. I think it would be only right for the sales manager to come to me and thank me for my purchase. I do really like my truck! Thank you Darrick. More
