After researching a few different VW models online, I was fortunate enough to have Nermin respond to my inquiries. I set up an appointment for some test drives. When I arrived, Nermin had both vehicles ready for me to check out. When I returned from my test drives, we talked thoroughly about my opinions on the vehicles and my specific needs. He then recommended a vehicle that I had not researched, a Golf TDI. I test drove it, enjoyed, and it just felt like the right vehicle although I didn't purchase it right away. I had to discuss with my wife since this new choice was just thrown into the mix. Nermin had also encouraged me to do some research on VW's diesel technology and to read some Golf TDI reviews. After a few days, my wife and I returned to the dealership, went on another test drive of the Golf TDI, loved it even more, placed an order for the color of choice and bought the car 2 days later. Out of all my car buying experiences, this was probably the first time I didn't have the car I wanted to buy already picked out and I do not have any regrets. This is what a sales consultant is for, to help people make good and informed decisions, not to push them into most expensive vehicle on the lot. I wouldn't have my Subaru serviced anywhere else. Scheduling an appointment was easy, the service advisor reviewed my service history, and my car was ready in the timeframe he estimated. Worked with Randall Tomblin to purchase a new Forester. He was always kind, courteous, and fast to respond and provided exactly the information I was looking for without giving me the runaround. Even when he was slammed with other customers during a promotion, he still made us feel like we were a priority to him and ensured we were taken care of. I was given a good deal off the bat and the sales manager was engaged quickly, without having to go through a lot of back and forth. I also appreciated that Randall was responsive over e-mail, on the phone, and in person. I get frustrated if I e-mail and can't get a direct response back in e-mail and a sales person insists I call or come in to discuss. He also knew the vehicle well and could answer questions without having to frequently pause to look up answers. Randall found the perfect balance between getting a deal done quickly enough to make me feel like my time wasn't wasted, but took enough time with me to make me confident I was always treated well. Christina McCurry in finance was also great to work with. She was friendly and courteous and patient and made the paperwork process as painless as possible.
