My wait was very reasonable and about what I was comfortable with. Pricing was not exorbitant. 😊My car drives better and obviously tire rotation improved quality of drive. I will return to this dealership as long as I continue to receive the quality of service and feel as if I am treated fairly with honesty and care. Attempted used car buying experience Josh S - this is for you! Since I am contacting "everyone" because the dealership would not provide a drive out price. Now I have to since you told me Josh S - this is for you! Since I am contacting "everyone" because the dealership would not provide a drive out price. Now I have to since you told me I was :-) The story - Found a vehicle I was interested in on the website (not a Toyota actually). Strangely the carfax started at 15K miles, but no history was available as to why. Therefore offered a lowball to start the negotiation process since I'd be assuming the unknown risk. Countered at asking price and then I proceed to ask for an out the door price for it. They will not provide an out the door price when asking, and based on the other reviews it's easy to understand why. In GA an advertised price in any medium must be all inclusive non-gov't fees to be compliant with GA law. I kept inquiring on fees and was told to come in person - I live an hour away. They kept declining to provide any figures even ballpark since it is policy "due to the competitive nature for our local customers to have them come in for negotiations and drive out pricing". I started with a consumer advocate (Thanks Clark Howard Action Team) and was directed to inquire with OCP since this seemed unusual as compared to other dealers I was in contact with. I was hoping the reviews about the tacked on fees were untrue as I was legitimately interested. While it is true they do not have to provide, it is not recommended to visit somewhere that is not being transparent. Apparently I "threatened" them by stating I would be "contacting everyone" - I spoke with OCP and then after the deadend decided I should let Toyota know based on again a recommendation from the same consumer advocate team. I had a lovely correspondence with a Josh S "relationship manager" from the dealership after submitting a complaint to Toyota who told me "To advise and to sum it up we are not willing nor are we going to be providing you a drive out price ". All I can thank is social media for saving me the 2 hour round trip drive to be even further disappointed. More
Very Pleased! I called the service department just before noon on Tuesday. Randy took my call and pulled up my records via my Vin number and told me to come in as s I called the service department just before noon on Tuesday. Randy took my call and pulled up my records via my Vin number and told me to come in as soon as I could. I was there within 45 minutes, was given a list of the services they would provide and told to wait in the waiting Room. In a little bit less than an hour Randy came with the bill and because I had given him a $30 coupon my bill was only $39. I was so impressed and will definitely return to Stone Mountain Toyota from now on. I will always ask for Randy! More
