I brought in my 2018 Outback for a $200 used vehicle inspection and left seriously disappointed. The technician provided a clear video of the inspection, but the experience with the service advisor was inspection and left seriously disappointed. The technician provided a clear video of the inspection, but the experience with the service advisor was unprofessional throughout. He was condescending when I asked what was included in the inspection, snapping “Absolutely not” when I asked if there was a checklist. When I tried to clarify something from a phone call, he blamed me instead of helping. He also denied an oil issue shown in the video—until I showed it to him. On speaker with the technician, he said the quote “was too low” before asking a question, then hung up on the tech and answered for him. He refused to add the issue to my paperwork, saying the “ticket was closed.” This was frustrating, especially since I paid for the inspection and needed the info for warranty purposes. He even joked I should ask the seller for “a new engine.” Whether or not it was serious, it was an unnecessary and stressful thing to say. I was polite and respectful the whole time. But I left feeling dismissed, talked down to, and definitely not valued as a customer. I’ll be going elsewhere for service. More
