After I narrowed my search and decided to lease a Subaru Outback Wilderness I started a dialogue with Suggest you ask for my sales rep Gary Koch. After I narrowed my search and decided to lease a Subaru Outback Wilderness I started a dialogue with 7 dealerships. 1) I test drove the car, picked a preferred model and color (2 I'd consider). Consumer Reports gave the Outback an 89 rating. 2) Clear, straightforward communicators (No upsells, gamesmanship, passing me to the Manager etc). 3) Simple. I used Edmunds (and feedback from other dealers) to determine a range for what would be a bad/average/good deal. We committed to a price via text. And I completed credit check and some other paperwork via e-mail. Completed the deal in around 2 hours in person at the dealership. Relative stress free transaction. Sales rep Gary Koch exceeded my expectations on several occasions. The day of our appointment he took a video of the car and made note that he parked in back of the dealership with a HOLD sign so no one else could rest drive or buy the car. Note. I passed up my local dealership because they would not quote me a competitive price until I came to the dealership (for a battle I expect). Happy I made the 40 mile trip to Subaru Orange Coast.
