Condescending, arrogant & patronizing....I am so very upset about my treatment today by "Mike". Due to covid, I am a "former" small business owner. My financial situation is in very bad shape. I was ve upset about my treatment today by "Mike". Due to covid, I am a "former" small business owner. My financial situation is in very bad shape. I was very upfront with Gabriel Casanova about the situation and watched him write a note on my file, but apparently this was news to Mike. On Aug 21, I put a down payment on a forester, which was supposed to arrive the week of Sept 13. For the past 2 weeks, I have been unable to reach Gabriel or Gabe, not sure because he corrects me my salesperson, Jackie Sanchez, has been the go between regarding financing, which seems really unorthodox to me. I understand this is a seller's market. I understand you can sell the cars 10x over at a premium. What I don't understand is how you run a business where your staff are allowed to treat people like dirt. My brother offered to co-sign the lease for me. I was never informed that I was turned down by Chase, but being that Gabe never called me, I could only assume. Last Friday, I told Gabe that my brother was willing to co-sign the loan. Jackie called me back to send the documents. I returned them at 5pm on Friday afternoon. I did not hear back from Gabe or Jackie, so I called today (Tuesday). The second call of the day, Gabe answered. I said I was following up, he fumbled and said he had a pre-approval for me, but needed the VIN# from Jackie and would need to get back to me.......really? A few hours later "Mike" called me. He said he was going to run my credit, but that due to my status my rate is going to go up. I dared to question him, and said that Gabe told me I was already pre-approved, and he just needed the VIN # to finish the paperwork for the bank?? Mike didn't like me asking a question. He told me it would be an issue that my brother lives out of state, and the bank may not like that/approve the loan. So I asked if he could check on that before submitting the paperwork, because if that were the case, I would ask another brother who lives in NY to co-sign. He said the bank doesn't work that way. I was getting very upset with the tone and direction of the phone call and said I'd like to call back and cool down. Mike was making everything an issue and more difficult and complicated. Why??? We would have to overnight the documents and he would have to get them notarized before you can pick up the car...OK?? The long and short of the conversation is, Mike told me I was holding up a vehicle that they could sell to someone with good credit, meanwhile I have been trying to reach Gabe for 2 weeks. I was told I was wasting their time because they make the same amount of money and have less work to do with someone with good credit and I either take or leave it, and he would gladly refund my deposit; which I said if I weren't at work I would reiterate that he is basically telling me to go F* myself. I believe the car was sold to someone else and that is why over the last 2 weeks I have been put off. I am just shocked at the level of disrespect and disdain shown to me by Mike, which I nor anyone else deserves. My other foresters were through Rye Subaru and I am so sorry I didn't go through them in the first place. I thought I would never drive anything but a Subaru again, but this has sickened me. I'm not feeling the Love.. More
Extremely disappointed with the sales team. Their lease costs were significantly higher than the Yonkers and Bronx Subaru dealers ($50+ a month for 36 month lease, $2,000+ more). They charge above MSRP for costs were significantly higher than the Yonkers and Bronx Subaru dealers ($50+ a month for 36 month lease, $2,000+ more). They charge above MSRP for Subrarus while their Yonkers and Bronx peers do not. They called my better offers 'fishy'. Additionally, they played the usual car sales game where the sales associate was back and forth to his managers office to see what he could do. It was a long drawn out appointment. Yonkers and Bronx just gave me their best offer off the bat and never included their manager. If you go here, make sure to price check - do not get taken advantage of! Go elsewhere for a more pleasant, no BS experience. More
