We’re sorry for the frustration this situation caused and understand how concerning it is to see damage appear on a vehicle you care about. After reviewing the details, we found that the Crosstrek was purchased under previous ownership and was sold with an aftermarket vinyl wrap on the roof. During our follow-up conversation, it was shared that the vehicle had been transported multiple times, which can contribute to issues like peeling or delamination of non-factory materials. Unfortunately, because this was not a factory paint concern, it is not something Subaru of America or our service department is able to cover under warranty. That said, we did take time to inspect the vehicle, provided an estimate through our body shop, and also discussed alternative options, including a possible trade-in, in an effort to help with the next steps. We regret that this experience felt upsetting and appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention.
