I stopped in to check out the Buick Regal GS with manual trans. The employee immediately had a poor attitude and brought the car for us to test with several interior vehicle fit and finish issues and a ver trans. I am not an easy customer. This caused John Swanson, my Sales person, to be late to dinner for his mother's birthday. Even so, John was a pleasure work with. He never let on for a second that I was driving him crazy ( I was driving myself crazy, for crying out loud). Even while staying late, he didn't skip a single step when showing me the features of my new car. The car itself was beautifully prepared, as well. I think it is worth mentioning that John is honest, forthcoming, extremely competent and a true professional. I would refer my own mother to John...and I like her an awful lot! I also own a 2004 Buick Rainier that I have had serviced at Somerset Buick. The service professionals (yes, professionals) have been a pleasure to work with and have always done quality work. After visiting a few other dealerships looking at various models that I was interested in, I quickly remembered why I dread going to car dealerships so much. The same tired tactics to make the quick "hard sell" and pressure to buy a vehicle at an inflated price were quick reminders of this. However, after dealing with Bob Morris at Somerset Buick GMC, my faith in the integrity of car salesmen has been restored. Not only was he very pleasant and reasonable to deal with, but he was genuinely concerned that I liked the car after my test drive before talking about a deal. Prompt, attentive, courteous, and honest are all attributes that describe my experience with Bob, and these attributes are the reason why I would highly recommend him if you're in the market for a used car. Overall, I came away satisfied that I got a good deal on a car that I really like, and it was well worth the 140 mile round trip to complete my purchase. More
